  1. I always loved the Clubsport spoiler, after much research in 2017 decided to go ahead and get one. Expensive as the tailgate needs to be changed but think it’s worth it. The main spoiler part took about 6 months to get however, as it was forever on back order.

  3. Hi Tom😊, I recently had my car tuned to stage 1 and DSG tuned with Racingline software. IMO yes, it was worth it. In race mod, the car pulls the gear much higher before skifting. I feel the DSG is isync with the engine. While driving in manual, the gear doesn't skift automatically up and I have total control. While in normal mod, I feel like the car skiftes the gear up much faster and this might be good for fuel efficiency🤔. I've done over 6000km after tune without any issues and so far I'm pretty happy with the tune😁. All this is also new for me and maybe some experienced

    Chris' Wolfsburg Edition

Been a very long time since i've updated this! Prior to a trip to Europe in October, including some time in the motherland, i'd started toying with the idea of getting something with a manual box, and rear wheel drive. A few cars were toyed with, including an M2 and a Cayman, but I wasn't too keen to part way with the cash they fetch over here. I'd also been keeping an eye on e46 M3's... A car i've always fancied, if/when timing was right. Whilst a manual car will still fetch strong money ($80k CS anyone? Yes, a CS, not a CSL), and prove to be thin on the ground, I kept my eyes peeled

    Black 7.5 Wagon DSG

Have given the car a clean the last couple of days, using polish and wax and stuff... My 'detailing' is quite half-arsed compared to many on here so it is not the best job, but it is a lot better than it was before and it has kept me busy. Also, must remember to get tyre dressing...

Thank you! Emmanuele Design lowering springs, with 12.5 front and 15 rear ST spacers. I’ve actually done nothing under the bonnet, still standard.

Yes, my whole body aches this morning though. I have also just looked out the back window and can see that the breeze overnight has really accelerated trees behind our house shedding little yellow petals... Guess where they seem to be congregating...

    Mk7 coolant leak

In addition to the above link, there’s a lot of coolant leak experiences amongst members, it’s a common fault, so might be worth doing a search if you haven’t, to see if any of them are similar to yours.

  12. @Penguin in addition to the above, if you do make the trip this year, ring up all the fuel stations you plan to stop at. due to Covid and lack of any substantial traffic, there is a concern a lot of rural petrol stations may close. they really rely on tourist traffic, obviously prices can be jaw dropping at times lol. thinking of the NC500, we were doing it in early 80's and carrying jerry cans of 4 star in the boot, there was one unleaded petrol station in North Scotland. We we sort of did the route by default, we would drive from Lossiemouth t

Very nice shiny DBP! 😎 Great job, well worth your efforts. When the black paint is so shiny, tyre dressing just just gives that finishing touch, so rubber matches paint. Some good ones out there to choose from.

    T-Roc R Photos

Ive seen one on the road, we actually did a couple of test drives in one before we bought the Golf R - Mrs wasnt sure if she wanted something with a bigger boot. We really like it actually, drove really nicely and handled surprisingly well for something tall, but in the end the wife decided she preferred the driving position in the golf and we could manage with the boot size - it was the right choice

  15. Tesco on the A96 just outside Inverness off the A9 is probably the last place you will get Momentum. There are Tesco petrol stations in Dingwall, Tain, Wick and Thurso but no Momentum in any of them unless that has changed recently. I'd be taking some Miller's octane booster to add to the tank unless you are happy to do half the NC500 on 95RON.

  17. Well I’ve kinda jumped on the bandwagon and after 10 years off a mtb due to going into motocross and enduro I’ve just purchased a 2019 orange five pro. Will be here one day this week. Been looking to get another mtb for a couple of years but kept putting it off and due to spending any time I could on my enduro/motocross bike, I didn’t want to buy one and find its just left in the garage and not used. Between always having that niggle to get another and going bat shit crazy in the evenings and weekends during this lock down I’ve pulled the trigger and bought one. As its a 2019 model I’ve

I must admit I got better sound on the shift and overrun on my mk7 Estate than my current mk7.5 Estate. So fully understand where you are coming from, I think it’s all a bit disappointing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rear spoiler comparison

I agree the Clubsport is the best balance, oem but that extra flair. It’s a lovely spolier and the one I would fit if it were that easy. But, unfortunately not and is an involved and costly mod. The tailgate on the Clubsport isn’t the same as a Golf R, it is a standard Golf tailgate so to get a CS spoiler on an R you need to switch out the tailgate too. As well as the spoiler parts itself! https://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/16345-clubsport-spoiler/

    Wheel spacer question.

Got round to fitting the spacers (20mm rear/15mm front). Excuse the miserable pictures but the weather is in full on winter mode in Scotland this week. Before... After... other angles with spacers on... im really pleased. For £70 its a nice subtle visual enhancement 👍

    Wheel spacer question.

Well, just ordered some spacers. Gone for 15mm front, 20mm rear. I'll see how I get on and post some pics up next week when they are fitted.
