Yeah exactly some bits are great as per above. Exactly why I will sell it as it just won’t get used. Tried it for a month and used it for every journey to try and gel with it but just didn’t. Thought it was because I ran it in properly and once I opened up taps a bit would have a wow moment but it never came. I think the lack of decent noise doesn’t help as I do like a car that sings. Listening to various aftermarket options none do it for me. In reality we don’t need 2 x 5 seaters and I like more of a weekend car as when I work it’s 99% from home. Also 50% of my cars miles are B road blasts. So I am going back to a Porsche GT4. Back on topic anyone waiting keep faith as new cars are gremlin free it seems. Ours apart from some early bongs gremlin free. Also paint, interior and panel gaps totally faultless.

M6, Tesla Model Y Performance most recently (which wife had instead of the R and prefers it). more recently before that GT4, RS3, GTR, Exige, Evora etc. hot hatch wise most recently civic type r which on paper allot slower to 60 but was much more engaging to drive (but also sounded crap until exhaust fitted). Just don’t like the power delivery in the Golf R and allot better used cars for mid £40sk IMHO. Its not a bad car at all just not gelled with it and the looks haven’t grown on me.

Build quality on ours is spot on. Interior is a bit plastic scratchy. Love the main dash screen it’s ace, that’s a really good in terms of customisations. Also HK stereo upgrade is great. care just doesn’t make me fizz or smile like others hot hatches we’ve owned have.

No def not gremlins, as it’s been fine since some early bongs. None of the other reported issues. Was meant to be for my wife but took so long she got another car. I kept in hope I’d like it. Not a fan of looks, just not grown on me Sound (worst sounding performance car I’ve been in in years, tried an Akra car also poor). Power delivery (they aren’t that quick and just a bit dull in terms of power delivery). It’s all a tad plastic inside.

Me after some initial bongs first few trips 0 issues, bongs or rattles. Not gelled with car though, not for me so being sold shortly. But pleasantly surprised ref issues given the stories and gremlins others have had.

One strange one where I was trying to change the music volume and it was trying to change the voice activation sound. Cured itself after 10 minutes without me doing anything Screen reset itself once Also and assist systems limited or some such message. Lasted until a restart. that was on 3 hour trip up and trouble free on way home so perhaps the infotainment is also running itself in 😁

Thanks all seems to be ok now and I’ll stop worrying about it. I assumed I was touching a button I shouldn’t have. first long trip today and see what people mean about the bugs had a few infotainment ‘glitches’

Ours came It wasn’t intended for me but wife likes her interim order Tesla so I will be keeping it for now. Rained all day (1 min before trailer arrived then constant). Paid for trailer transport which was fine well loaded and strapped etc. Order from Medway late May 21, James is very good / efficient PP Winter pack HK Reverse Camera DCC So haven’t had a chance to drive or check over properly and won’t until Thursday. first impressions are infotainment it’s not too bad, seems very responsive like the dash display and lighting Like the HK (set up a bit and really impressed to be fair) like the seats not sure about the mono brow light dislike the wheels (and they look tiny next to wife’s wheels).also exhaust sounds rubbish. Still shipping with no engine covers (noticed audi stickers on parts in bay) overall very happy with it on first impressions.

Ours comes on Tuesday next week from Medway. We are in Somerset so opted for trailered delivery (£120 extra) rather than then ~230 miles as if they take m4 / m5 would do it no good sat for a few hundred miles at 70 ish Also opted for no ‘valet’

Yeah interesting to compare as the m6 has 750hp through rears so is fun in the wet but not in the same way 😁 (spins rears in every gear but so so fast leaves her MYP for dead when rolling) Will keep you posted was intended for my wife so she may yet prefer it over the Model Y P. The RS3 didn’t last long as values shot up. The R we may even keep for our lad who is 17 in the not too distant. I am sure the insurers would have a heart attack!
