Can anyone recommend a dashcam ? Ideally I’m looking for something relatively cheap and cheerful budget up to £100. I already have a BlackVue in my other car but would prefer something more budget. Anyone got any experiences or recommendations ?

Here are a couple of mine. Thinking of selling the GSA,for something smaller ,lighter and sportier. The R9T is great bike really torquey but just a bit small and cramped for me. It’s great for city riding though !

Hopefully a pic of my GTI on old school ABT five spokes. Not everyone’s cup of tea but I like them ! Had them in the shed and never got round to fitting them to the R or S3.

I have the exact same problem, (in my GTI)defeats the purpose of the starter button ! Unfortunately my car is out of warranty,any idea how much the part costs ? Im sure it will be just plug and play, probably just replace it myself and see what happens !

I recently bought a Golf GTI privately just before Christmas. Transferred a holding deposit and thereafter arranged to meet a couple of weeks later in Preston for collection. Did the deal in the Santander and got the lovely lady at the counter to do the transfer to the chaps Nat west account. Took a few minutes and all good no cost to me. Easy too👍🏼

Lol likewise. I have an S3 in the household too and it's night and day compared to the Golf. You will of course read this forum and find all the niggles and build quality issues you probably don't expect more owning a Golf. You pays your money and take your choice!!!!

Why is that ? It has only been modified for 1000 miles and I wouldn't say its any more fragile than any other R. Most of the mods are the type that enthusiasts on a site like this would aspire to add to their cars.This car has it all done for them. However I know what you are saying as far as stripping it back to standard goes. Probably just take WBAC cash and save me trading in for another VW.

Surprisingly WBAC are not a million miles away from that figure !!

It's strange people buy these cars and then start to tune them,however no one wants one with all the work and quality parts already on there.I appreciate that I would be better selling standard and that's possibly what I will do,probably just trade it in if it doesn't sell. I was really just wondering what it was worth as it stands modified.Personally I think £24k is way too low unless that's standard ?

Yip here's another what's it worth thread. I bought my R new in March last year 16 plate. My current situation is changing and it's time for the car to go. The general spec for the car is 3dr Lapis blue DSG Pretorias,winter pack( no Nav,no leather)95% privacy glass.Mileage is 8k.The car is in immaculate condition,no dents no dings no scuffs no scratches.It has two paid for services and the remainder of the three year warranty.Being considerably older than your average boy racer the car has always been pampered and allowed to properly warm up,it is always hand washed and has never seen a car wash !! Always run on superunleaded. Modifications carried out by Ecotune Glasgow. It is currently running APR stage 2 software and DSG remap. Full turbo back BCS Powervalve 200 cel sports cat wrapped exhaust system. Wagner intercooler. Turbo technics inlet pipe. VWR/ Racingline intake system. Currently producing 395bhp. Obviously the mods are all reversible and I have all the standard parts. Ideally I would like to sell the car complete with all performance parts to an enthusiast So what's it worth as it stands ???
