Hi guys my golf is heading back in march and been offered a cracking deal on a Rocco r Dsg. I know this runs the old engine and lacks 4wheel drive but looks so much nicer and drives good. Has anyone done the golf to scirocco move and what is the pros and cons

I went for the tduk box due to warrenty issuses and it makes a difference the car is much more urgent,I understand a proper map is better on more than just the power credentials but I wasn't prepared to destroy my warrenty so for me the box made sense. I'd recommend it as its better than a standard car by far. Just my 2p worth

The polo i had for a day had all them loaded and looked good i have done mine with none standard ones and it doesnt look as good. might see if vw will do it while they change my gear box

mine was really notchy going into 2nd and 3rd and on fast changes it was griding alot with the clutch fully in.

yeah the flywheel is getting replaced along with the clutch. ive spoke to service and they saying that they are putting a new box in but it could be a recon unit from the factory ?

well ive had the ews i thought i would from the dealers and my gearbox needs a full rebuild its a manual by the way! also the flywheel is failing. The car has 8k miles on 15 plate it was a bit clunky when i took delivery but i just took it was the way the box was and then the clutch failed to engage once and i thought its time to get it in. all covered by vw but 1 part is on back order so god knows how long ill be with this skoda rapid 1.2tsi least ill save some money on petrol haha look on the bright side eh.

mine has none of these issues, build quality seems spot on. Maybe you have getting a bad egg ?

I've tried it with one press as it stepped in when coming off a roundabout but done it when ever I get near 6k and change fast it just as though I've hit fuel cut

No deffo not just used to the power it's deffo feels different but every now and then I get a bit where it seems to go ok then straight back to how it's been
