  1. Not the greatest town car for the missus, so bought her an UP (which she loves). I commute to London and for the past 3 weeks she has just sat there [emoji849] shame but no point paying for something without it getting used
  2. No, just started all of a sudden and only saw it once I was cleaning it. I have sent the pictures to VW and will see what they say. There is no damage on the outside so any comments about screwdrivers etc aren't really valid as it's inside the glass
  3. The car was bought new, and the light has no outside damage, scratches or marks
  4. Speaking to VW about my left rear light which seems to be bubbling from the inside. Just waiting to hear back as this should be covered under warranty, but has this happened to anyone else’s R? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I don't know if Andrew Chapple is a member of this site, however on twitter he has made reference to having had 4 R's (300ps EA888 engine cars) which he has sold / selling and 3 of the 4 have suffered from coolant leaks and I am wondering whether this has impacted any of the members here and whether any remedial action was taken. Worried about when mine is out of warranty and if this is something that the VW techs are looking at on my annual service.
  6. Bought the isofix covers, which VW stopped putting on newer Golfs due to cost cutting.
  7. I upgraded to 19's from the Cadiz alloy and don't have DCC. It's the wife's car and she has never noticed or complained, therefore if there is any difference it would be marginal.
  8. No issues either with my CM reps either and I have accidentally driven over potholes

Vehicle inspection and report to include all lights, instruments, bodywork, glass, locks, battery, coolant levels, drive belts, braking system, steering, hoses, drive shafts, suspension and exhaust system. Full vehicle road test. Diagnostic check including report. Re-set service interval display. Volkswagen stamp in service book.
  10. Had alloygators on my previous Golf MK5 GTi. They may protect the alloys (although they are not recommended for diamond cut alloys) but every minor ding meant the protector would come away from its housing and have to be taken back to be reset...Just try and stay away from the kerbs!!!
  11. Hill, Mansell, Schumacher that's when it was worth watching ... now it's just dull dull dull
