OZ Ultraleggera wheel fitment advice mk8.5
Jeff R replied to Jeff R's topic in Modifying your Golf R MK8
Very true, there’s been 20+ golfs in my driving days & 9 Golf R models, plus a Tiguan R, I always find my way back to the Golf’s though. -
OZ Ultraleggera wheel fitment advice mk8.5
Jeff R replied to Jeff R's topic in Modifying your Golf R MK8
Agreed, I’m only missing the Racingline PCM box now really, I have the carbon rear brace to fit at some point, though just currently recovering from a planned operation & have another scheduled for Wednesday, so I’ve go a bit of recovery to get through first before the car gets any more attention, it really needs a good clean too, but I’m just not in a position to do it at the moment -
No issues at all, works perfectly as it did before

hi all, looking for a little wheel fitment advice, ideally from people running a wheel of this same spec if possible. Ive got some Racingline lowering springs to go in my 8.5 R BE & I’m in the process of sorting new wheels too, the wheels of choice are OZ Ultraleggera HLT in gloss black, 19” flavour. I’ve been offered the wheels in 3 fitment, I’m told all will fit fine, just curious which will be the best option. prerequisites are, look good no rubbing 8x19 et45 (4mm more poke than standard) needs spigot rings availability 5-7 days 8x19 et41 (9mm more poke than standard) needs spigot rings availability 20-30 working days 8.5x19 et47 (9mm more poke than standard direct fit 57.1mm cb availability 5-7 days ill be going for Michelin PS4S.tyres in 235/35/19 thanks Jeff

I know there’s been a few posts about the poor acoustic quality of this setup, I’m looking for people with this system & specifically, what EQ settings you’re currently running, I like my sound to be a bit bassy & punchy etc, I’ve fitted the Audison centre speaker upgrade but it still sounds terrible, so out of balance etc I’d like to make the best of what’s there now, I’m not looking to buy more items, maybe even revert back to the stock centre speaker if needed. I’d really love the setup to be a bit more like what I’ve had in my mk7’s & 7.5’s with Dynaudio, I really liked that setup. please help

Mine came with Bridgestone S005, they were awful, balanced terribly & were out of round, bobbing on the rims, so they got removed & replaced with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres

The cars from late mk7.5 onwards have all had no rear resonator, this is to try to add a little better exhaust note due to the OPF filters found on these cars, my MK8.5 R with the Akra is the same too, valved rear silencer but no resonator

Yes it’s noticeable as the speed gets up, I did notice as the PDI from VW set the tyres to 38psi & the door sticker says 45psi, so I’ve inflated them to that just in case, but I doubt that’s the reason personally, I’ll give it a drive on Monday to check & if not I’ll have the balancing checked on them just a little annoying, but hopefully an easy resolution

Hi all, had my black edition since September 1st, im having a bit of judder over 65mph has anyone had similar, im assuming its either just a wheel balance issue or needs a few miles putting on the car, as the cars only done 197 miles, ive had the car since 6 miles in the clock & never hit a pit hole etc, i have the warmenau black alloys for reference with Bridgestone Potenza sports picture for attention

Mines has warmenau alloys option & has flown through, so I don’t think the shortage is true -

That’s a strange one, does yours have a peculiar spec option ? Such as a towbar or something that may not be available ? -
