  1. Exciting times!! 😁 what colour have you chosen?
  2. Just stumbled across this video, it is a Ateca Cupra but powered by the same engine as the Golf R. The video shows the sound of the revised exhaust with the new particulate filter the R will have going forwards. Definitely a tad quieter but nothing deal breaking. Enjoy https://youtu.be/iH5PSm3ziH0
  3. If you’re stage 2 I’d recommend a gearbox remap to acknowledge it. Turbo flutter is perfectly normal. The sport mode on the gearbox is more immediate so takes away the slipping of the clutch and no flutter as opposed to normal.
  4. Yea there’s a rev limiter in place when the car is sitting idle. This is largely down to emissions reasons (no idea the exact reasoning why though)
  5. I agree, as much as they are an improvement they don’t quite stack up to be 500 quids worth! Doesn’t help having a BMW with B&O speakers. The dynaudio is very similar in terms of quality to my Sony system in the previous ST
  6. Production should end on the 7.5R when the mk8 is released Old stock willl be available but factory production is probably close to finishing the line already
  7. Well I guess that didn’t help then You have like 3 topics all posted the same? Looking at the damage in another picture, you don’t need a new bumper. Take it to get resprayed, it’ll vary on price but no more than 400 quid
  8. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F263210723757 Found this on eBay, good condition other than a small black mark. Hope it helps; a good option otherwise is calling Copart. This looks to be in better condition but not sure if there’s a difference on the rear bumper between the 7 and 7.5 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F302772543214
  9. Thanks for clarifying to be honest I listened with no sound. Yea bit of an anticlimax at the end, but the rapid response interested me 🤣
  10. I can only assume this is austrialia? But quite interesting that the private firm use golf r’s was quite cool to see! Read the description of the video too *South Africa*
  11. Yes I too worry. Get a lot of idiots staring at their phones as opposed to where they’re going. Seen plenty of close calls so a quick glance in mirror always helps
  12. Yes, there have been a fair few owners having clutches go on them after 7k miles, infact this video from Volkswizard had the same issue with the manual R. The clutch and flywheel needed replacing Coming forwards the manual is being discontinued much like most premium hot hatches now.
  13. Yes you’re strange! sorry couldn’t resist Seeing as it’ll be a weekend toy it’ll add to the more pantomime whereas I believe the R is the better overall package which is probably why it lacks the drama and ‘soul’ you’ve wanted. Good luck in sourcing a decent RS and make sure you keep thieves away!
  14. Added to the horror stories of the manuals having chocolate clutches and a few launches later 💥 not sure if the facelift cured this issue?
  15. Seating position is right on the b-Pilar making give way roads a right laugh. Thankfully boot the throttle, everybody happy 😁
