  1. I had a look at this today and decided to remove the back bolt as it looks very hard to get to and just leaving the front one only which seems to hold it in position tightly and fitted cable ties to the plastic housing. I will now be able to remove the front bolt if the cable does break Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

  5. I just changed mine my self after reading the diy section, my 2016 r with only 12,000 miles on it, the gauze on the pump was clogged with crap and the housing had loads of crap in it, and vw told me the pump didn't need removing. I would highly recommend finding a garage that will remove the pump and clean the filter gauze and housing or do it yourself. just thought I would post my finding Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  6. Just changed my haladex oil 2016 golf r Only 12,000 miles wasn't going to take my pump out to clean it but after reading this thread decided to and it was well worth it I was shocked how much crap was on the filter and in the housing. pump would never have made 30,000 I will be doing mine every 10,000 miles. Thanks for everyone who has posted great advice. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

  8. Hi James I have replaced one on a mk7 golf estate the reflectors just pop out and the bolts behind them just hold the bracket for the fake exhaust tips which also broke on mine if you have a mk7 golf r estate not sure on 7.5 r as they don't have fake exhaust tips undo the 4 screws at the back of the defuser then just start on one side near the wheel arch and pull it off it very hard to get it started but once you get the first clip off its easy to pull the hole lot off with exhaust tips still on it hope that helps Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
