Looks like the unit has crashed. It would freeze from time to time. Now all parameters are blank. Chased the manufacturer in Germany for 2 weeks but no response. Absolute garbage!

Anyone else fitted a Vektor display? Struggling to get any technical support from the company. Wanting the latest firmware but the link on their website is broken. If anyone has version 3 would appreciate a copy.

I think you mean liberal? The police told me they won't do anything yesterday even though several people named two of the three suspects caught on cctv (I've submitted a complaint). They didn't do anything when I was a victim of a violent racist attack a few months ago, and nothing when my car was vandalised a few years ago. The cuts made to services during austerity have resulted in very shitty services all round, not just the police. That's emboldened the criminals that know they will not be caught. We need more police on the streets and all crimes to be investigated. That costs money, which seems to be going to the millionaires and billionaires busy trying to make us blame each other through newspapers and shitty 'news' channels. Anyway, £4200 bill and I've already got storage booked so it will be my weekend car now.

I paid £520. The Wolverhampton branch quoted £750 saying they charge more to be able to redo it, as it's not easy getting the colour right (so true!).

Got the samples from Lepsons yesterday. There's not much in it, but I think the circled one is closer to what I had before. Seems to shine more. This is VW chrome but aftermarket. The other is OEM.

Yes I did speak to them before, but they took ages getting back to me so went with the Kent site. They were definitely more expensive, and explained that it gives them a chance to redo the wheels, since it was a difficult colour to get right. The folks in Kent have found the paint that would have been used on Booth's car, and sending me samples to check out via post before making my way there. Talk about service!

Definitely a talented bunch in Gillingham and agree the finish is so much better than factory.

Yes seen them in the flesh as I picked up the car Saturday - and although I felt they were a bit dark, I figured since one of the pics showed the colour closer to original that maybe it was just the gloomy weather! Turns out this is the OEM VW paint, whereas previously they used another supplier. They were good enough to say they will re-order the previous paint they used to use and re-do them. I do feel a bit like an annoying customer - but I really loved the blue/silver hue which I feel is missing now; they look closer to gun metal than silver, and on a black car it really isn't my thing. Agree these wheels are difficult to picture and get the real-life colour. The quality of the finish is top notch though, that's for sure. I was expecting orange peel and nibs etc., but nothing of the sort - they really are pros. Will post an update.

I just got mine done in Gillingham. Lovely group of guys. Thing is, I now feel mine came out a little darker than the original silver colour (these are genuine Prets). They look a shade too grey. Hoping they can resolve. Pics show before (on the car) and after (at Lepsons) - they did use blue chrome and I drove 5 hours specifically to use them, as they seemed to do a great job on Booth's old R. The third pic almost looks correct but seems to have lights shining directly on it.

Yep, just today we looked at the possible impact of getting equipment and reagents in on time after Brexit. We're busy trying to cure cancer....we've lost funding already on long term projects and now worried we won't get materials in on time and within budget.

Honestly if the BBC didn't give Farage a platform (e.g. only Dimbleby appeared more times on Question Time) we wouldn't have had the vote (whether you agree with leaving or not). Chipex works well. Not perfect, but from a distance pesky stone chips on a black car are no longer obvious.

The digital display looks great and being a nerd I loved having loads of info displayed on my loaner a few months ago. Having said that, jumping back into my MK7 the analogue dials genuinely brought a smile to my face! Both are cool, but the future is digital for sure.
