Thanks fastandy. So, it looks like a visit to the dealer for diagnosis. Luckily, I've extended the Maintenance Plan until October 2025 so that should have me covered.

Hi everyone. I own a Golf 7R 2016 model with 74000 km "on the clock" . I have owned it from new. My cruise control has stopped working. When I attempt to activate it, an exclamation mark warning inducation appears on the instrument cluster. Has anyone experienced this problem? Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. I found a can of FW1 cleaning wax which I had totally forgotten about in the garage. Luckily a little bit left in the can. Sprayed it on, left it for a minute or so and gently wiped off. Hi everyone. I picked up a bit of (what looks like) road paint splatter on the sill under the passenger door. It's very much like hard bird sh#t. What would be a recommended method to remove it? I agree. People will use the distance from their vehicle to yours to line up in a parking bay rather than the white lines so if you park on the extreme side they will end up on the extreme side of their parking bay right next to you. Most annoying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've had my 7R now for two and a half years now and luckily not one ding. I'm dreading this ever to happen so was gutted when I watched the dash cam footage... And just the noise of the door hitting your car.....i hope you get this sorted asap and you can let this perpetrator know that the R fanatics from across the world are disgusted by this behaviour. I had a nail close to where your screw is if not a slight bit more away from the side wall and had it plugged two months ago. Everything still ok. ( P Zeros). Sent from mTalk

In South Africa, VW are using Castrol Edge Professional 5W30 Long Life III. We are classified as a hot climate zone where our engines are also slightly detuned to 206 kW. Sent from mTalk
