  1. Thanks guys, I’ll check both areas out that you’ve suggested, I thought we were onto something earlier today when the VW specialist I went to sprayed some lubrication down between the fuel feed and return pipes under the bonnet where it’s enclosed in the little plastic housing as it seemed to stop for a while but it’s started buzzing again. It’s driving me bloody mad! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hi All, Need some help and suggestions… My 2019 MK7.5 Golf R wagon has developed a strange buzzing noise during deceleration, more so at low speed. It’s been to the dealer and they said they found a fuel line vibrating on the underbody and had re secured it, but it’s started happening again. The said fuel lines been checked and it doesn’t appear to be that particular one, just after some help as the dealer cannot find an issue. Doesn’t happen under load, and doesn’t seem to be mechanical engine noise, it’s worse in race mode but still evident in normal, eco and individual modes. It sounds like a heat shield resonating once up to temperature on something mechanical. Car drives and performs normally, no other issues, the DSG shifts smoothly and the car is fluent to drive so don’t have a clue where to even start. I’ve recorded it today whilst on my way home, but it won’t let me upload it, appears to sound like it’s coming from somewhere down in the drivers footwell, or from under the car, it cannot be heard from outside.Would be grateful of any info or suggestions, no matter how stupid they sound as I’m stuck as to what to check next and it’s driving me and the wife mad when driving the car. Thanks in advance. Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Update on both actions, the ok button on the steering wheel doesn’t shrink my clocks as advised and the map doesn’t move when pressing the down arrow as advised also, unless I can find any other info I’m wondering whether I have a different version of infotainment, might call in at my local VW dealership and ask. 4. Thanks a lot @R32sy I’ll give that a try tomorrow. Yes I’ve seen the Audi variant, very smart but as nice as some of the options are on the S3 and even the S4 Avant that I looked at, the Audi’s seem to refined and smooth with their delivery!! I kinda like the slightly more raw, unrefined delivery the R cars give. My wife had a TTS a few years back pre-bump arriving and it was great fun, but she always stole my R as she said it was a better drivers car, handled better, heavier/more solid feeling, and made a better noise! 5. Thanks a lot for replying @MJC1216 I really appreciate the information!! I’ll check in the morning when I head to work to see if that works! Thanks in advance if it works. [emoji1695] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Evening Guys, I’ve recently swapped from a 2014 5dr MK7 R Hatchback, to a 2019 MK7.5 R Estate in Indium Grey, absolutely loving the car, wish I’d had a wagon years ago!! So understated!! Had it just over 5 days now so still getting used to some of the extra additions it has over my older hatch model, but I have one “problem/question” for some reason, on the Nav screen, the button along the bottom of the screen that says “MAP” with the synovial of a map and an arrow that transfers the map from the main info panel, to the instrument cluster is greyed out, and I can’t seem to get the map to appear in the cluster. On my wife’s VW Tiguan 2.0TSi R Line, the same button shifts the map into the centre section of the instrument clocks, and shrinks the rev counter and Speedo to allow for a bigger map area. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong?? Any help advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot, Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks guys!! @booth11 good to hear from you again!! Yes I’m pleased to be getting back in another Golf R now the time to change has come. I’ll be really sad to see my white 7R hatch go, it’s been a cracking car and I’ve become very attached to it, but as you say, bigger family, bigger car, but still needed some fun in my life [emoji48] It’s a 69 plate, R estate in Indium Grey with a few extras, Nav, Reverse Camera, Winter Pack, Vision Pack, Mirror & Lights pack so a few bits and bobs toy wise, it’s also keyless entry. First few things that will be done are some smoked badge skins, possibly a Maxton 7R spoiler lip, and hopefully money permitting I fancy a set of either Revo 019’s or if I can stretch the budget a set of Oz Superforgiata’s in either anthracite or the tungsten bronze!! I’ll pop some pics on when I’ve collected and cleaned, plus any mods as they occur. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Over the last 6 years of ownership and doing “general driving” some motorway, a lot of B roads, dual carriageways and 30/40mph urban driving to and from work, I get approx 330 miles to a full tank when filled up from approx 50 miles remaining. Hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. I’m picking mine up next week OF92, glad your enjoying!! I’m with you on the exhaust note, don’t even think you can fit a res-delete to the 19 plates either because of the GPF setup, I may be wrong!! I had the same issue with my 7R hatchback but the res-delete was a game changer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hi all, Been pretty quite on hear for the last few years as with the lockdown and having a baby have had no time free to sit reading threads on forums!![emoji85] Just thought I’d check in and say hi again. I’ve finally come to a difficult decision to let me Golf 7R 5 door hatchback go as need more space, I’ve owned it 6 years and can honestly say it’s been the best, most fun car I’ve had!! But….I’m pleased to say I’m picking up a 2019 Golf R estate next week!! Looking forward to collecting her and seeing what it’s all about and the differences between a 7 & a 7.5R. Couldn’t be without an R so the estate was the only option for full package for the price!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Just to recap on it, Still sounds ace, pops and bangs well, and the drone has reduced a fair bit to be fair since it’s coked up, been fitted about 6-7 months or so now and I’m more than pleased for the money it cost me. cheeRs
  13. Yes it’s still under warrenty and it’s booked in for a week tomorrow just wondered if anyone’s had similar faults and if so what it was, something silly like a loose plug that I could possibly fix at Home?? Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hi guys, just after some info if possible, driving Home from work today and had the following message - “Error: Airbag” and it’s left a light on, cars behaving as normal and was probably cruising along about 45-50mph whether that has any bearing on things. Any help/advice/info much appreciated. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I washed mine about a fortnight ago and waxed it well. Took it out that night after it had had the engine off all day and once I accelerated away out my street my rear window dogs almost straight away, as the engine warms up it tends to stop, think it’s a mixture of hot exhaust gas hitting a cold glass screen, then as the cabin acclimatises the rear screen warms up. But deffo black sh*t all over the rear end, my old Focus RS used to do it terrible, it’s the design of the rear splitter, I reckon it causes a swirling turbulence effect at the back off the car pulling all the exhaust crap and road muck up and nicely plastering it all over the back end for you!! Mines white aswell so never stays clean for long!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
