  1. Is this white/silver the same as Oryx?
  2. Yes it will be pcp
  3. yeah sorry meant to say DSG - with the 19" seems a lot of people recommend the DCC option as well. Just looked on Drive the deal: £30,567 (saving £5,417) 3 Door - DSG Indium Grey 19" Prets DCC
  4. Carwow are showing me 12.4% discount (£29,943) on a 3 door R - Indium Grey. Does that look a good price? Ideally I will probably go for the 19" Prets this time around too. (previous R was stolen).
  5. hey jes10 im sure I'm just one of the unlucky few. Hope it don't put you off, you'll love the experience. I'm sure I'll end up pulling the trigger and getting another one no doubt.
  6. That's what's annoying, I've always kept my eye out for any odd looking cars parked up etc. Cctv shows their stolen SUV appear from the centre of the village after I've walked up the lane which is before the village centre so some f?cker must have had eyes on me.
  7. Not this time. We're doing Bike park Wales, been a few times in the past. Always nice to enjoy the uplift once In a while 😁 I've done a few weekends in those places in the past as well.
  8. Funny that I'm mountain biking in Wales on Monday with some of the lads. They're going down Sunday for a few beers and food etc. I was planning on leaving Monday morning early purely so my car wasn't here with my daughter in the house. That's how I was starting to think and feel. Anyway Looks like im going down Sunday with the rest of them for a few sherbets instead now 😊
  9. Trouble is after having a car like this going back to normal is something I really don't wanna do. I worried about my daughter being in if the cars home too. Just glad she was at school that morning whilst I was out with the dog. I wanna get back in the car but don't want the paranoia and worry again. What w@nkers they are...
  10. Cheers. Just a shame we have to think like this and just get on with enjoying something we've all worked hard for.
  11. Yep great bloke. I've known him years and another close mate works for him.
  12. Hi Stobsie, I think you're right. Yes I've been reading through a few threads I saw your post in relation to that. He's a friend of mine too.
  13. It could have been worse really. No one was in including my trusty Bulldog... I'll probably end up pulling the trigger on a new one when all said and done, I'll have a decent front door bolted on by then. I'll definitely look at having Autowatch Ghost fitted if I do.
  14. Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys. I've actually got a new front door on order I was just praying nothing would happen before 8 May. It's parked on the drive right under the living room window. Also had a house alarm fitted. I do feel like i was being watched but i never usually walk the dog that late and my pattern varies. Recently I've had a number of blokes randomly knock my door on separate occasions asking if I want the gutters cleaned or drive doing, they didn't ask anyone else on my street which got the hairs on the back of my kneck stood up. Right then I knew I was being sized up. Just after those incidents an R estate got jacked near by by three masked men in broad daylight as the woman was loading baby gear for a weekend away. Once my my front door is replaced I should be pretty tight, just keep thinking I'm putting me and the family in danger but I don't what these c@&)! to win either. I generally leave my keys keys out at night so if it was to happen then they could just take the keys without the threats and possible violence etc. I live in a fairly large village in between Coventry and Rugby and police presence is well... lacking! They must know this and that's why we've been hit along with other villages near by. Ive had my R DSG from new Feb 16 and previously had the GTI performance pack. Love these cars just hate the unwanted attention. I did a road trip down to southern Spain last August and head turns on the french/Spanish motorways you'd think I was driving a lambo or something they loved it. Ill take a look at that ghost thing and any other suggestions. Thanks all.
  15. Ladies & Gents, long time lurker and have found the topics, tips and tricks really useful. Every time I read this forum I feel like going for a blast afterwards! However.... Monday morning 10am whilst walking the dog I had my front door put through, keys taken, car gone I've got some decent cctv of the stolen car used to drop the scumbag off etc. My question is to those who have unfortunately gone through the same experience, how many of you have been put off going for another R or has it not deterred you? I was begining to feel a little paranoid about it happening to me after all the car thefts, especially the R. A friend recently had 5 of them turn up at his front door luckily he wasn't it but they took the car. I love the car and miss it already but don't want to feel like I'm looking over my shoulder all the time. Just glad my daughter was at school at the time as well! Cheers Jay
