  1. My R is on PCP and coming up to 12 months old - it's now asking for an oil change. I was going to take this to an independent dealer and get it done, but it seems like VW have stopped issuing service books so I wouldn't be able to get them to stamp it, it only has a "Digital Service Record" now which I guess the independent dealer would not be able to update. Am I stuck going to VW now instead?

I have the F40 creator (plus a few other "landmark" sets) as well but not the Saturn rocket haha. That's exactly what it's turned into for me, quite therapeutic to build and then look good to put on a shelf afterwards as well. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Have the GT3, Chiron and DB5. You can really tell the Chiron build is an evolution of the GT3 when you've done them both, way more complicated but very similar at the same time! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  4. My '18 with 19" spielbergs hatch says 41 on all wheels, even higher if fully loaded.
  5. I have the Performance Pack with Spielbergs and it came with P Zero tyres. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  6. Not sure if I'm going mad or not, but in the last few weeks my ACC distance setting never seems to stick any more. I am using my driver profile, and I always change it to the minimum distance, but whenever I start the car again, it's reset to the default distance (2/4). Is there any way to make this stick?
  7. Haven't really touched them - just been letting DSG do its job so can't answer to be honest.
  8. True actually - you're right, the unconfirmed build date started with a relatively reasonable timeframe. It seems absurd that yours is so far in the future providing you didn't order Akrapovič which seems to be a massive delay to any order. The car is great so far, I haven't noticed any issues and I've done about 550 miles in it. Been keeping it relatively tame for the first 500 but I can have a bit of fun now. I haven't really driven it hard enough yet to notice the difference between comfort & normal on DCC for example. Getting it detailed and ceramic coated on Thursday which I really should have done immediately but better late than never I guess. I did loads of reading of this forum while my order was in progress as well and it's been a great resource for getting to grips with the tech and the intricacies of how certain features work - much better than the manual!
  9. 6 weeks hasn't been that uncommon recently. For me the timeline was: 12th Feb - Order placed (estimated build week 15 - April 9th) 3rd March - Status changed to "Build Week Confirmed" - April 9th, but live chat says it should actually be built in week 14 25th March - Status changed to "In Transit", so actually built well before April 2nd 11th April - Status changed to "In the UK" 20th April - Car arrives at dealer 24th April - Delivery (mine was a trailer delivery so that's why it took a little longer) So obviously 6 weeks is fast, I don't know what Sihfty's spec was, but mine was only about 9 weeks from order to actual delivery, and I had every option except pano sun roof, Akrapovič, and wireless charging, so it was pretty fully loaded.
  10. For the record, I got this working although the video doesn't show all of the steps. Found the relevant page in the manual after watching the video though, it's under personalisation, nothing to do with the key! In that menu if you scroll down you can select manual mode and assign a driver profile specifically to a key, then it will move the seats and mirrors etc as they were set while this profile was active. 11. Is there a way to link the seat/mirror position to a key so that when that key is used they move to the correct position? I thought if I opened the car with that key, set all that up and then locked the car with that key, it would stick to the key, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Does this work at all, and if so what is the procedure? Is it because I'm using keyless entry/exit?
  12. Also worth checking the maps version. I got my R last week and it had the 2017/2018 maps version instead of the 2018 version. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  13. My car is due for delivery tomorrow morning and it has the mobile phone interface business (which is mentioned in the OP), I haven't heard anything from my dealer to state any work has been done or that delivery won't happen. Not sure if there is a way for me to tell whether anything has actually been changed or not without pulling up carpet though.
  14. Sounds like it, or maybe VW can choose to offer separately but need a bit of time to implement that on their configurator/build process.
  15. It's VW, Audi, Skoda and SEAT at least. My understanding is that on new cars with the dealer, they cannot be released unless the dealer unplugs the amplifier which is outside of UK spec. I presume (but this is just a guess) that older cars will either be recalled to have this done or it will be done on a service maybe? Lastly, it seems that while for existing cars with wireless charging, the fix does not cause them to lose the ability to wireless charge - you can no longer order a new car with wireless charging at all now. Although wireless charging itself is nothing to do with the issue except that it comes bundled with the problematic component.
