  1. That's a lot of faffing about, you could save the agro and get PIAA blades, they top the screen up themselves. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  2. Yes agree, the Bosch work better with RainX, but so do any blades. The PIAA don't need RainX and keep laying down a rain repellent layer and they seem to last forever, whereas other blades dry out. So the cost per mile is less in my experience. I do 25k miles per annum, most of which is motorway. With RainX you don't need to use the wipers anywhere near as much, it's the same with PIAA blades. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

    Euro Trip

Some of those passes look amazing. I've done quite a few Euro tours including the Alpine tour with circuit days and lots of Trips to the Ring and Eastern Europe. In my experience deffo avoid travelling from mid July to the end of August. I would avoid the well known passes due to traffic. Also plan for a few hours to complete an ascent and descent even though the actual miles covered is small. Pictures of the Stelvio Pass. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  4. Seriously, try PIAA and you'll realise that there isn't much improvement with Bosch and all the other so called "premium" brands. They're expensive but PIAA is in a different league. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

    CM Wheels.

I've got 18 CM Pretoria replicas in gun metal, the quality is really good, no paint runs or defects. I only use them for Track Days. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

    Should Rs Have Fog Lights?

I agree, using full beam in thick fog causes a white out and low lighting would be beneficial. However fog that thick in Suburban areas is quite a rarity and often it's just a light mist. Using front fogs at anything more than circa 20 MPH is a contradiction in their use. I live in a low lying area next to a river so experience fog more frequently than most, the lights on the R are still better than using fog lights on my Megane or BMW. I actually find the auto turning lights on the R really useful when taking a turn in an unlit road or dimly lit parking area. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

    New owner Yorkshire

You mean "gangsta" [emoji16] Spa is awesome I've done it a few times in different cars but even the R might be a tad underpowered on such a big track. If you plan your trip well you can do the Ring at the same time as it's within a reasonable travel time. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

Speed sign on dash - Mk7.5

Use Waze, it will display on your entertainment screen and shows the current speed limit and your actual speed. When you exceed the limit the display changes to advise you. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

    Disk brake replacement guide

The rear pads and discs are really easy to do, took me about 12 minutes per side. You need either the VAG software or Carista or OBD11. For the cost of the App vs the agro of trying to manually rewind the parking brake it's a no brainer. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

What’s the one thing you’ve always wanted to do?

@camelsac2002 Pop round mine anytime, I've got some petrol, I'll set you on fire and film you running out of my barn. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

    Should Rs Have Fog Lights?

I doubt that is how it will look, it's a 3 door and all indicators are there will only be 5 door models from now on. So probably some Photoshopper's guestimate work as opposed to a VW produced image. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

Why did you buy a Manual?

Agree, the point I was making is that the mechanics are irrelevant, (it could be six sparrows and two monkeys inside the gearbox [emoji1787]) the result is that the gearbox does it all for you without the need to use your hand or left leg. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

What do you dislike about your R?

Yep it's just a notification, no accuracy involved. I've done around 10 miles after the reading is 0. My 350z would do at least 20 miles after reading 0. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

Why did you buy a Manual?

Who depresses the clutch for you? Oh wait, your DSG gearbox does it for you. Why not just buy a "proper" manual with three pedals if you ALWAYS drive in manual mode; or have you only got one leg? Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
