  1. Fog lights are pointless on a modern car with dynamic led headlights. They are pretty useless on most other cars too, and irritatingly used both in the day and night by the "me too" drivers that don't have LED DRL'S. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  2. My renewal is 13th July and just checking around for prices I'm struggling to get it under £1k! I'm guessing it's a combination of things including the fact I do 25k miles a year plus so many other factors. O2 drive renewal is the cheapest followed by Aviva direct. 3. Don't keep loose change or other hard items in your back pocket. Be careful if you wear jeans that have studs / rivets on rear pockets. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  4. The thing about the PIAA wipers is that they are pure silicon and continually add a layer of silicon, has the effect of something like RainX but better. They don't get brittle like traditional blades and remain flexible, so the lifespan more than compensates for the extra cost. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  5. No, you're "mooching" the right way. You've got so good at it that it has now become automatic and intuitive for you. Because my daily drive is a combination of M11, country A / B roads and East / Central London I have to switch my brain (and the R) in to the relevant setting. e.g. M11 / A120 watch Waze for "Plod" alerts. East London, when behind a Prius expect it to without indicating ..suddenly stop / turn right / U turn. Prius's can also stop on Pedestrian crossings, the reason (as told to me by an Uber driver) you can't stop before or after because of the yellow lines. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  6. PIAA blades, already discussed on another thread. You'll never buy any other brand after using PIAA. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

I take all that net worth hype about bloggers and celebrities with a pinch of salt. Who comes up with these numbers....another blogger? Nothing is verified, so it's all just hype. Not so long ago Katie Price was said to have a net worth of £80m. She recently declared Bankruptcy / voluntary arrangement. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

Somehow you have intentionally or unintentionally dropped in to his audience, you watched and shared the video. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  9. Mat has his facts right. VW (Seat) do keep the warranty in tact. It's an official product on a specific Seat model NOT available as official from Audi. Hence the reason ABT are giving the warranty on the Audi. It's stupid really, they all use the same engine, so why cant every VW group company do the same thing and offer it as an option. Brand / model politics I guess. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  10. I feel sorry for you. Over the past 20 years or so the growing track day culture and surrounding support here in the UK has made this pastime very accessible and affordable. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  11. The voice control on Android Auto works really well. Switches between apps, changes music, searches locations on Waze. I can only think that the VW voice control would offer a benefit if it controlled the car, such as put the wipers on etc. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  12. I like to get on track as much as I can. Done 4 since I got the car new 9 months ago, will be doing some more soon, hoping to get to the nurburgring again this year (first time in the R). I do 25k miles per annum, so it's a real daily driver. I've got the performance pack with the Club Sport discs. A JB4. On track I run 18 inch pret reps with Federal 595 tyres. No other mods, the car runs great. As with all previous road cars I've tracked, I find the limit for component stress is about 20 minutes. The best investment for track driving is tuition, beats any money you spend on hardware and automatically works on any other car you drive. [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  14. The car handles really well in "comfort" mode, particularly on long sweeping bends. Race mode sharpens up the responses but can make the car feel jittery on less than smooth urban roads. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  15. I think it's in the thread "what do you dislike about your R. I've also quoted the exact comment from Evo. Go to Evo.co.uk and search Golf R, it's fairly recent. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
