  1. I have Carista myself , you can do a fair amount on it for the Mk7 Golf R's tbf but I think OBDEleven has even more extensive features. Currently on mine with Carista I have the following done: - Haldex increased to 50/50 to improve traction even more ( normally 60/40) - Torque limiter in gears off - Pace maker indicators on the rear (few youtube videos on this on what it looks like) - Beep on lock/unlock of car - auto stop start turned off In terms of your question for VW checks, I cant see it being a problem, it takes a matter of 10-20 seconds to put everything back to standard anyway if you would prefer that before taking to VW.

  4. Nightmare, I cant even unplug the connector that goes into the DV without having to remove the whole intake hose...
  5. Hi All, My fitted GFB DV+ makes it very hard for my intake hose to go onto the turbo elbow properly, a very tight squeeze. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If so what have you done to create more space.   7. Thats perfect, thanks for your help mate. Is there an indication on dash or MMI which shows the status of the alarm when the button is pressed? For example, Active or Deactive/ On or Off?
  8. Hi All, I was just wondering if anybody is aware whether the Mk7 Golf R has a jacking/tow alarm as standard when car is locked. Is there a button in the cabin which specifically can activate/deactivate this? I'm aware these type of thefts are becoming more common and was just making sure my car has this standard like the Audi S1 for example. Mine is a 2016 model. Any pictures would be helpful.
  9. Thanks for the reply mate, looks like thats what I will be sticking with for now. Out of curiousity would going ahead with this benefit me in any other way other than just noise? As in 2.5" DP to 3" catback am I likely to see any shift in BHP or torque delivery. Thanks

Thanks for the reply mate, in terms of plans for the car, I am currently stage 1 and have a centre res delete on the standard exhaust definitely an improvement on standard noise however leaves me wanting more. I am not 100% on Stage 2 just yet so was thinking a catback system for now would do the trick and in future if I decide on stage 2 i can purchase a DP. My main worry was whether the 3" catback would be compatible with the standard DP and Cat, using the 2.5" to 3" adapter ive mentioned.
  11. As title suggest has anybody done this? was thinking to get a 3" catback non res milltek or scorpion system however keep the standard 2.5" downpipe and Cat, would this cause any issues?   13. Hi all, Was hoping to drain the current brake fluid in the car it’s a 2016 mk7 R, and upgrade to AP Racing DOT 5.1 fluid. Could someone please advise how much ML I’d need to buy please?? Cheers

Thanks for the response mate, will definitely be advising the buyer of the map however would ideally like to revert everything back to stock anyway to appeal to the mass market as not everybody who buys these cars chooses to mod them. Was just wondering if any tuner can put me back to stock or would it have to be the inital place I got it mapped.
