  1. Ive also noticed this too👍 stock my car oils temps would sit at 107-111 driving hard, currently running MRC Stage 2 same conditions it does not go above 99.
  2. Thanks for the input mate My filter was cleaned as part of the service yes. I have come across two other people who are running 415 ps and a stage 3 524ps, they seemed to suggest that apparently our gear boxes on the Mk7's cant keep up with the accelaration going through 1st gear. Apparently a haldex reset using Vagcom also makes it better. Just struggling to understand if everyone running similar power is experiencing the same haha really annoying
  3. Never tried it whilst turning, mine is doing it when I plant in a straight line only in first, whereas with a slow accelaration its fine thats do it, all other gears also not affeected
  4. Hi All, As the title suggests, has anyone experienced this before? My car is currently stage 2 running 410ps/583nm mapped by MRC, my DSG has also been mapped. Ive had my haldex serviced 2 weeks ago, when i plant first gear (only gear this happens in) at around 4500/5000rpm the car sort of freezes and hesitates before carrying on and shifting into second. All other gears are fine and I drive with ESC off. My tuner has suggested it could be some sort of wheel spin however to me it feels more like a power cut, as I cant hear any traction being lost or wheels spinning up. Grateful for any views or guidance on this. Thanks
  5. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this whilst on the dyno especially when accelerating through the gears there is a loud hissing noise present which ends up getting dominated by the sound of the exhaust. The car is running stage 2, and im 99% sure it is not the sound of boost leaking as its running pretty good figures with no unusual dip on the graph read out. I have replaced the standard DV with a turbosmart plumback BOV (recirc) and all the standard boost pipes have also been upgraded to the forge silicon ones. My tuner has said they do not think its leaking, just makes me wonder what else the noise can be as hearing other cars on the dyno it isnt the same. Thanks Caner

  7. I have Carista myself , you can do a fair amount on it for the Mk7 Golf R's tbf but I think OBDEleven has even more extensive features. Currently on mine with Carista I have the following done: - Haldex increased to 50/50 to improve traction even more ( normally 60/40) - Torque limiter in gears off - Pace maker indicators on the rear (few youtube videos on this on what it looks like) - Beep on lock/unlock of car - auto stop start turned off In terms of your question for VW checks, I cant see it being a problem, it takes a matter of 10-20 seconds to put everything back to standard anyway if you would prefer that before taking to VW.
  8. Cheers, appreciate the replies. I’ve also come across the product below , my mate who has a 7R recommended apparently holds boost very well and sounds good any experience or opinions?
  9. Thanks for your help mate just to confirm is this the correct one? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GFB-DV-MK7-GOLF-R-AUDI-S3-8V-LEON-CUPRA-280-T9359-DV-Diverter-Valve/281807109704?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Db06073cf2d10417794a5a7286e458d35%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dag%26sd%3D281807109704%26itm%3D281807109704&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Ab0eb03f9-459b-11e9-ac03-74dbd1809d53|parentrq%3A777092ab1690a9cbae392964ffee770e|iid%3A1 Also what car is the one I have for? I was under the impression it was for Mk7 Golf R's also.
  10. Nightmare, I cant even unplug the connector that goes into the DV without having to remove the whole intake hose...
  11. Hi All, My fitted GFB DV+ makes it very hard for my intake hose to go onto the turbo elbow properly, a very tight squeeze. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If so what have you done to create more space. The link to the one I have is below: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323505383867?ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F0%2Fe12980.m43.l1120%2F7%3Feuid%3D2e1f877a67954994ac1ede6d8f399621%26bu%3D44712381103%26loc%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%252Fulk%252Fitm%252F323505383867%26sojTags%3Dbu%3Dbu%26srcrot%3De12980.m43.l1120%26rvr_id%3D0%26rvr_ts%3D769bd1ec1690ad4d18656d41ffe730fb&ul_noapp=true Thanks
  12. Hi All, As titled I was just wondering if anyone here is running the DIRENZA Intercooler Kit with the silicon hoses on their R? ( Link below ). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIRENZA-BLACK-FRONT-MOUNT-INTERCOOLER-FMIC-KIT-FOR-VW-GOLF-MK7-TSI-GTI-R-2-0-11/232972145716?fits=Model%3AGolf|Plat_Gen%3AMK+VII&epid=25028900576&hash=item363e38d434:g:HLAAAOSwq4xcXDlX Looking to go Stage 2 soon and just after some reviews on any experience with this intercooler and how it compares to Airtec one which is about £300 more. Cheers Caner
  13. Thats perfect, thanks for your help mate. Is there an indication on dash or MMI which shows the status of the alarm when the button is pressed? For example, Active or Deactive/ On or Off?
  14. Hi All, I was just wondering if anybody is aware whether the Mk7 Golf R has a jacking/tow alarm as standard when car is locked. Is there a button in the cabin which specifically can activate/deactivate this? I'm aware these type of thefts are becoming more common and was just making sure my car has this standard like the Audi S1 for example. Mine is a 2016 model. Any pictures would be helpful.
