    Brake discs/rotors

Yes, first time I've tried slotted discs. I'd buy again and really like the rpedal feel with the braided lines. I also adjusted the brake assists in obdeleven and brake modulation is so much better now. The strada pads give off quite a bit more dust that's more reddish brown but I clean the car fairly regularly anyway. Overall very pleased with this set up.

Pedal Box Plus - Error Codes

Replacement pedal box finally arrived! Reverted a few of the OBDeleven tweaks back to original, start/stop, driving profile. Plugged it in and worked perfectly. Not a single error code! Must have been a faulty box. Very happy with the customer support from DTE who sent a replacement, no questions asked and also refunded the return shipping. This little box really does transform the car. Absolutely loving it now that lag is gone. Running on City but get a feeling I'll be dialing it up to Sport as time goes on. Now...what's next?
  4. Not sure about carbon paddles but I got a pair of s2t paddles which are spot on. http://www.s2tpp.com/VW.html Not the cheapest but the directly replace the oem paddles and a really easy to install. Only takes 5 minutes.

    Brake discs/rotors

I recently got tarox f2000 discs and strada pads with the braided lines. Much improved over stock but the extra noise them make is quite noticeable.

    Standard brakes

I also felt this when I first got my car. My wife got whiplash every time I touched the brake pedal! I ended up getting an obdeleven. There were a few brake tweaks there to reduce/disable the hydraulic brake assist and that totally sorted it! I can't remember the exact thread where I got the codes/adaptations but that really did the trick and brakes still worked when you need them too. Just upgraded to tarox f2000 discs, strada pads and braided lines and brakes feel even better.

Pedal Box Plus - Error Codes

Tried resetting the obd eleven tweaks...re-enabled stop start (voltage method) also... No change. Figure it must be something with the box itself as it isn't getting any power at all without the USB connected. Called customer support. When I mentioned I connected the USB, the response sounded like Luke Skywalker learning who his father was... "Nooooooooooooooo!" Apparently that's for factory Diagnostics only! Very nice chap though... Asked me to send the box back, they'll refund the shipping and send me a new one. Excellent customer support. Hopefully no issues with the new one when it arrives... Fingers crossed! The wait is going to be painful though...

Pedal Box Plus - Error Codes

Thanks for the replies. No error codes when I removed the pedal box. I'll try resetting obd tweaks and see if that helps. It worked fine this morning on the way to work but needed to turn the ignition on first then start the engine (powered by USB) It got no power when I started the engine directly.

Nice one! Just got a pedal box too but having a few issues with it...
  10. Hi there, Hoping this infinite knowledge and wisdom of these forums can help me out here. Just bought and installed a DTE Pedal Box Plus (following rebecca's guide) but having several issues. Turned on ignition to calibrate and it threw 5 error codes - Tried to clear in OBDeleven but couldn't. - Hill Start Assist - ACC error - AutoHold error - Stop Start error - ABS error There was also no power to the pedal box (no lights on) and could not configure it. Unplugged it an plugged in again 3 or 4 times. Still no power to the pedal box. Connected the micro USB and on came the lights. This also got rid of most of the error codes but I still had the ACC error. Pushed ahead and configured it. Took it out for a drive. Very happy with the improved response. Then at some point, the modes wouldn't switch any more. I started in Sport +1 but then at some point it switched itself to City +1 and button presses did nothing. With the ignition off, I can select modes but as soon as I start the engine, back to City +1 and unresponsive to any presses. Not sure what is wrong here. Pretty sure you don't need it plugged into the USB to power it and kind of worried about all of these error codes. I have tweaked the throttle response in OBDeleven as below. [Direct Acceleration - Throttle response] 1 - Module 44 - Power steering. Code (19249) 2 - Adaptation 3 - Select - switching driving profile B - Directly controlled threshold value Also done another few tweaks to Starting Vibration Reduction and Torque Limiter. Could these be the cause? Did I get a faulty unit? Would love to get this little box to work correctly and don't really want to send it back from Japan where I live. Help truly appreciated. Thanks, Lex

Hi, Quick introduction. had my Black R for about a year now and been checking this site and getting so much useful info. Already grabbed an OBD11, made some tweaks, upgraded the brakes and been loving the car since. Thought it was about time I actually signed up for an account! Wondering how many more mods will this site lead me to... Any other members here based in Japan? Cheers, Lex
