  1. Thanks for posting an actual price, plan for me is a long term keeper, so £1000 for 90k miles is fine, premium for pre WLTP cars was too high compared to new. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I was concerned about this, but got advice on here that a decoke every 30k miles would solve the problem, estimated cost £200. Bearing in mind the inflated prices of pre WLTP cars, I went with a new one, very happy with it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hold on, they only make em with 5 now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. No ambient lighting in the back, or the rear door sills Leather seat has internal side bolster edge made from cloth, not leather. Couldn’t get all the options I wanted unless I paid the government an extra £350 a year in tax Got my 21yr old son insured on it, and he keeps pinching it! WLTP change will mean longer term ownership will require de-coking On a positive note, the rest of it is amazing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Even if the cars are in the showroom, you can still get them to price match a Carwow or other price. I got 14.6% of my Golf R RRP - £39.5k Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Headlight polishing on a old E class, followed by rusty brake hubs on an 330d convertible, found a local detailer who painted the hubs. Looked at his wash process and found a link in his site to detailingworld.co.uk. In the old days we had Tcut and Colour magic wax... This is one area where things have really improved Prewash Two bucket wash Lambs wool Drying towels Air drying Ceramic coatings... Echo the thoughts on “me time” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hello

Welcome to the forum, I was a long time lurker here coming from an E93 M3, before ordering a new WLTP car. Wanted to keep it under £40k list so went with the following options: Leather Pretorias Sunroof Wanted DCC but wanted the other stuff more! Having driven it, it is spirited but not crashy over bumps, had a BMW with run flats before the M3 and that was awful. As a passenger I would say it would be better with DCC, but I can live with it. Sunroof is good to hear exhaust, and also lightens the cabin when the blind is back. I would recommend this. Pretorias - I would recommend these as well, although there is some concern that the OEM wheels are fragile and can buckle. The pretoria replicas from CM wheels are rumoured to be stronger albeit a bit heavier. Standard sound system in 7.5 is great, hear dynaudio is a good upgrade but I’m ok with standard, there is a retrofit kit that gets you near Dynaudio quality. Discover Pro - it’s possible to upgrade to touch screen new system I think, so you might consider this as optional depending on your point of view 7.5 - I would go this route if you can stretch to it, the dash, tech, safer placement of front radar for ACC is better. Just my thoughts, good luck with the search! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Autosmart Tardis is the best product according to detailers, not so cheap but other products like Autoglym Intensive Tar remover not as well rated. I’ve heard about WD40 before, just don’t know how safe it is to use on car paintwork I’ve used Autoglyms Intensive Tar remover and it can take a few hits to get stubborn tar marks off, but it does work. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F153298129448 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Picked up my 2 week old R from Rob last night who did a fantastic job, two stage correction and coatings applied, interior protected and wheel hubs lacquered too, all for a very good price. http://gleammachine.net/contact-details Rob’s attention to detail, dedication and service I highly recommend. 14. Continental Sport Contact 5, look a little stretched, but will go to Michelin PS4S when done. Had PS4S on an M3, and they made it difficult to break the back out in the dry. It would be nice if you got a choice of tyre when buying new Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
