ellixtt, Really appreciate your thoughts, thanks! I am considering APR Plus ECU remap, which seems about what I am looking for. After looking at a JB4 installation video, maybe I'll just keep the bonnet shut. I'm not sure what kind of research I should do next? My two year factory warranty ends in December and APR Plus comes with a half a year powertrain warranty. Perhaps my only concern is what this does to the car's resale value. Any idea how dealers appraise the car assuming the ECU has been restored to its factory state?

Hello fellow Rs and ECU pros! I'm cruising around on a 2018 DSG 7.5 R w/ 310hp (tornado red!) and I could use some additional oomph low down around 2000-4000 rpm, which is what I mostly use when accelerating. I've never had the ECU remapped on my cars before and I'm not familiar with the engine's inner workings. I'm not looking for an remap, which takes the engine to its edge, but something that adds torque and is as engine & DSG friendly as possible. Any suggestions for a tuning product/company? If I remap the ECU, can I revert it back to factory state when I take it to the dealer for service? Can I do that myself or do I need a 3rd party to do the switching? Cheers, Etore

Any ideas on how to protect fabric from getting worn out from daily abrasion when entering or exiting the car? I have the regular fabric/alcantara seats and my concern is with the upper outer side bolster. Prior to this 7.5 R that I now have, my daily driver was a GTI, and after a couple of years the side bolster became threadbare. Oh and I'm not overweight or anything 😜 Nice forum btw, my first post!
