  1. Actually looks like I will be leaning towards VagSport.. Does anybody else have this?
  2. Hi Guys, Had my Golf since December and totally in love with it, a MK7. I am wanting to add a bit more noise to the exhaust without making sound too intrusive or droney. I have heard a few people change the full system, but also heard a few people do a BCS res delete? Ideal noise, just a bit more louder with some crackles as mine does not seem to do any crackles at all, still under 10k miles so that may be why, but always been a sucker for cracks and pops like the A45, ect. Any input would be highly appreciated
  3. Hi Guys, So had my 17 Golf R since December and is currently on 7800 miles, but its had quite a few weird issues happen during this time has led to a breakdown that occured on Friday. Since I have had the car, on one occassion, I was driving an Electrical Handbrake warning light came on which remained lit up all the way till I got home, I restarted the car, and it dissapeared. I have also had issues, where the window would not open, re-started the car, this also fixed the issue, also the bluetooth music on Spotifiy can be very crackly and sometimes unhearable, this sometimes work and sometimes does not. The main issue has been the keyless entry, 99% of the time, I can open the door with the keyless, but most of the time, I have to put the key right next to the button for it to get a signal to the key for it start, but sometimes, I can start it with the key in my pocket, bag, ect. On Friday, the car started, a oil pressure warning light came on, and then the car would cut out, I tried re-starting, and the keyless warning came up saying "Key not in range", restarts of the car would not fix this, I came back 30 mins later and the car started, this time, it would work but the parking camera would not work, a "Park Pilot is not avaiable" would appear and the tyre pressure warning light came on, after 10 seconds, that would all dissapear, but the car would sound quite strange on idle. Locked, unlocked the car, it would not start. Got it recovered on a flat-bed to a VW dealer, the car would start when the recovery guy came, the car started and managed to get it onto the flatbed, got a call from the dealer and they have said its a Power Relay Sensor and it would cost £220 + 75 investigation charge. Has anyone else had the issue? I love the car too bits, if this really has been the issue to most of these weird issues, then I would be over the moon, the car got serviced in January also by the same dealer, and had new batteries in the key.
  4. Hi Guys. With my MK7 Golf R, it came with the standard speaker system. I am big audiophile and like my music and the speaker system is really good, better than my HK's on the E46 M3, but is there a way to enhance it even more, as not keen on going down the retrofit Dynoaudio route. I have heard there is a Helix upgrade which is a sub that goes in the spare tyre slot, is this a good option? If so, where can I get one from.
  5. I got told this too and its a load of utter bs from the dealer I managed to source two power folding mirrors aftermarket for £198, plus also the switch for the interior, that is all you need and is basically plug and play, and the mirrors even have aspherical glass which means it acts as a blind spot type of glass which is better than the OEM VW one. Got a garage to do the VCDS coding, in total will cost me £326 quid.
  6. Basically in the UK, a guy was moving to Aussie land and wanted an a Aussie specced Golf R to be able to take away with him, plans changed and the dealer were left with the car. Yes the vehicle is de-tuned but its had a UK APR remap so that issue is gone for sure ! But Aussie specced cars come with Leather, Heated, DCC, Sat Nav and basically everything else as standard, but no power folding mirrors!
  7. Hi Guys, I own a 2017 MK7 Golf R, but the vehicle is actually an Australian based specced vehicle, which means that the it does not come with power folding mirrors, there was no option for it. Is it possible to retrofit this? looks like ECS tuning have a pretty easy kit to do this but wanted to know if there were any other UK alternatives? or the case of finding a breaker and getting the orginal ones off them? I believe its just some VCDS coding required. Thanks.

  9. Hi Guys, Must admit, the last post I had some really helpful advice which I highly apprecaite so thank you, so far the most helpful car forum I have been! alot more useful than M3cutters that I used to be on As mentioned, my car is an Aussie spec Golf R and is running the de-tuned 206KW HP version rather than the EU spec. I have contacted my local dealer if there is a possible chance of a map or a software update to change this, as I think it is just a software update that restricts these Aussie specced cars, but if there is a remap like I have heard like APR or M52 mountane one, then I would be keen to hear. What would be the best option?
  10. It does not have ACC, only has the fatigure warning. I will contact my insurance today but I am sure as I live in Channel Islands, insurance wont really differ at all to be fair.
  11. Wow, looks like Australia really got the good end of the straw!!
  12. Thanks for that, really helpful. All in all then, happy days, car is very well specced Plus it only has 6.8k miles on it, and comes with the adaptive dampers and everything else so the mirorrs really does not bother me in all fairness, sure there is a way to retrofit them if need be in the future. But yes if you could send me a PDF that would be great, I was initally worried but could be a blessing in disguise becuase of the specification and the speakers sound awesome also!
