  1. Perhaps the map just makes the difference in the various modes as mentioned less noticeable! Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  2. That's good to know. Would be good to have clear indication which mode (S or D) you are in when in manual. Rather than just "M" for both! Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  3. It's a bit of a strange question and I'm not really sure how to ask it. But here goes. In a non DCC mapped car. What is the difference between normal driving mode with sport selected compared to race mode sport mode selected. I can't tell. Additionally. Does it make a difference when knocking into Manual if the car was previously in "S" or "D" I notice the car idles higher in "S" (both "Normal" and "Race" mode) when going over to manual from S it maintains the Higher idle. When knocking into manual from "D" the idle remains lower. Would this mean throttle response in manual is now the same as "D" rather than "S". Its there a manual "S" and "D" mode? How do you control this? Im unsure if its in my head. But I swear it feels quicker in "Normal - S“ than "Race - S“ could MRC have mapped the Normal mode rather than the Race mode. Is that even possible? I did say its a strange question and I'm unsure how to even ask it. And it's a question only fit for a forum [emoji23] On another note. It went in for some warranty work recently. Someone said to me "be careful they don't reset/update your ecu you might loose you map" Seemed an odd thing to say and from an unreliable source. But it got me paranoid. I can't remember what it felt like before a map. Is the map gone? [emoji23] Could someone confirm if VW can even remove a map at a dealership ship [emoji23] Any simular experiences or info please let me know. Failing that. Your welcome for the laugh the above undoubtedly gave some of you [emoji23][emoji28][emoji58] This is what over thinking and too much free time does to a man. Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  4. About 800 all in for engine and gear box. But well worth the gains. I can't recommend it enough. Intake. Big turbo elbow. And your near 400bhp. Will completely change your car [emoji16] Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  5. Glad to read that. My contis make a horrendous racket! Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  6. After a good clean yesterday went to a decent local spot for some photos. Coincidentally on the way back from the baby's nap. Tactical [emoji106] Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  7. Thank you Alps! It's filthy in this pic but I'm impatient. Gave her a good old clean and wax today will find somewhere cool and take some photos tomorrow [emoji16] Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  8. Haha yer I think I prefer it now. No plate was a bit special edition corsa [emoji23] James (obd-works owner) is a good long term friend too. One of the nicest people you could meet. Just him on his own in a unit. Back when I had a bit of a crazy Corrado. I bought the super charger etc.. and booked a week off work to spend as his b**ch. Was such a great experience taking the engine out stripping it all down and rebuilding it/fitting the charger and other items. Where else would you be able to do such a thing. Took the time to explain and teach me all about various things as we did it. Amazing contact to have. Me and a few German car nuts in Oxford area love him. Gotta book a month or so in advance but so worth it. He's built some crazy/beautiful cars too. Actually influenced my purchase of a VW over others because I wanted to keep using James @ OBD-works lol. Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  9. Update on a few bits done this week. Reiger front splitter Small LEGAL front plate. Actually starting to like it as much as no plate. (the Eagle eyed amoung you will notice I stuck it on about 2mm off centre. I cant be arsed to re-do it but I will at some point [emoji23][emoji106]) Rear 13mm Forge spacers. Really pleased with the fit. Annual service/ inspection/ haldex service at OBD-Works (also fitted the splitter). Top notch service as usual. Only person I would let near my car. Cares about it as much as you do. Mental how much the haldex filter clogs up after just 3000 miles. As this car isnt a daily im sparing no expense and servicing engine and gear box every 12 months although I'm only doing about 3k a year. Overall very happy camper. Hope everyone's keeping well! Fingers crossed we can get some meets going in the summer! Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  10. I just think it's so worth it. Can't pay enough for knowledge and expertise. Also got the aftercare and if anything went wrong you can drive it to them to sort out. Better than being stuck with an email and a customer services answer phone. If it was say my misses mk7 tdi I would get a cheap online one. But if this is a car you want to live with and keep long term why not get the best. Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  11. Bang on. I always said just say here you go mate. Fuels on me. Haha If it's insured properly you can just replace with an exact copy. Once you find it. Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  12. Also regarding speed. The only way the police could even try to obtain it would be in a very serious case. The court would have to declare the company make that information available. And even then they don't have too. I imagine some of the world's top tracker brands have more than adequate legal cover. But to conclude. I rang and asked mine. Its almost impossible to make them release that info. Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
  13. Big vote for MRC in Banbury. You can't beat a map done on a rolling road. Get yourself a decent intake and get it over there. I have a 310 7.5 and got 390 stage one engine and gearbox with just an intake and a high flow turbo elbow. Live maps are worth while with cars like ours. Regarding tracker. I'll private message you. As making public what tracker you have is a very bad idea. [emoji23][emoji106] Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
