I brought mine in for the all in one inspection. Only one of my services was done at vw and the last oil change was done by me, all I had to show was proof of my oil was correct spec which all I could show was my eBay details of oil and oil filter was the correct when I purchased it. They plugged my car in diagnosis and didn’t even put on the ramp ,15 mins later they said I was eligible. Then I paid.

Glad you got it sorted. Was it loose or need replaceing?

I have made some spats out of some flexible mud guard type things when looking at the design of mk7 I could see this could be a potential problem

Could be abs sensor you may have knocked it loose when cleaning wheel, it’s worth a look. Or your battery maybe in the way out

But it also comes with 2 services and 2 mot’s and 2 year break down cover

Also above windscreen on leading edge of the roof ,stone chips rusting , I have seen absolute loads of m7.5 gti and golf r,s with this, not so much mk7 , I think this is because the paints thinner on the 7.5.
