22mm Whiteline or Superpro rear anti roll bar
S-Rob replied to TheBlondeFella's topic in Modifying your Golf R MK7
Just for others who stumble across this thread. I spoke to guy who works for Whiteline, says they are the same thing. Exact same bar. Whiteline paint the SuperPro version blue and package it up for them and everything lol. -
Screams battery issue to me. I've done some work to mine that required disconnecting the battery a few times. Defiently is the same list of error spam. They usually clear after a short drive, with ACC/Front Assist clearing after a short drive and an ignition off/on. I see this is an old thread, I'd be interested to know if this was an ABS sensor issue or a failing battery.

What drop links are you using with the SuperPro 22mm on your estate? -
That seller has a few which is really helpful thanks! As they come with the lower grill, that's a £140 saving. I was looking for Mk7.5 not "MK7 FACE LIFT".

Unfortunately the right side trim is completely gone and the central grill that swoops to the right is also damaged. The left side is intact so some might me salvage able. The bumper looks not too bad but the right hand side where the trim clips is buggerd. Might get away with hot glue Thanks for the link, I had not seen that one, onto my wishlist it goes.

The car was a previous write off (CAT N) and the damage was to the exact location where I hit. The repair centre didn't want to risk the bumper not sitting perfectly (even though it currently, although smashed a bit, sits fine). The insurance company offered me a settlement in lieu however I declined it as it made no financial sense to accept.

So quick update on this. 3 hours after I posted this, I got my oil serviced. 3 hours after that I hit a cat (like meow feline cat) on a dual carriage way and f****d up the front bumper. It's been with the insurance company ever since. Approx. 11 weeks later, I am getting the car back...not fixed. (long story short, they refused to fix it due to its history). So now I have a new bumper to locate as well as the additional plastic trims. Anyone got any leads on a Mk7.5 front bumper? During the time the car has been away I've been using my Audi A3 2006 1.6 petrol. 0-60 in 1/5th of a minute it was originally a project car for a friend, it has be come my "short" term daily. I even gave it some love in the form of a new full leather interior and black headliner. I also reconditioned the alloys and painted the callipers red to distracted from the rusty arches and door

It's more likely to be blamed on the Type C connect or the phone. As Android Auto is mostly the mobile device.

Same Tyre, Different Fuel Economy Rating? (F1 Supersport)
S-Rob posted a topic in VW Golf R MK7 Chat
Looking at moving from 19" Prets to 18" OZs or Revos. I am still undecided on which wheels to order but in the meantime I am deciding on tyres. My current thoughts are the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports but I have come across a curiosity that I wondered if anyone had same knowledge on. For the 225/40/R18s the Supersports come in 3 options. Distiguishable by the fuel economy rating. Now I know the once rated a "C" are Audi AO specific so not fussed on those. But that leaves two options, the "A" grade and the "E" grade. E Grade - https://www.blackcircles.com/catalogue/goodyear/eagle-f1-supersport/225/40/R18/Y/92/m?tyre=38844474 https://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s134p165666/Goodyear_Tyres_Car_Goodyear_Eagle_F1_Super_Sport_-_225_40_R18_(92Y)_XL_FP_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_E_Wet_Grip%3A_A_NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_72dB A Grade - https://www.blackcircles.com/catalogue/goodyear/eagle-f1-supersport/225/40/R18/Y/92/m?tyre=42671576 https://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s134p210834/Goodyear_Tyres_Car_Goodyear_Eagle_F1_Super_Sport_-_225_40_R18_92Y_XL_FP_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_A_Wet_Grip%3A_A_NoiseClass%3A_B_Noise%3A_71dB Now is it correct in saying that the lower Fuel Economy rating means better grip performance? or is it maybe the difference in production years? -
