Thanks for the replies, I have put the order in for MTec drilled and grooved with Yellow stuff pads. Mtec had an offer on so have also bought upgraded hoses, If anyone else is looking, they have 10% off in January and I also received free shipping, copper grease and brake fluid. Morning all, My 7.5 R is in for a Cam chain in March and I'm going to replace the stock disks and pads for something a little prettier. The plan is to eventually put a stage 1 on the car hence wanting to have more than standard. I don't want to fit dross onto the car but I also don't want to re mortgage the house. What would people's recommendations be and where is the best place to pick some up?

Morning all, Potentially noob mistake here but I contacted a local garage to ask about getting the haldex filter replaced on my 68 plate 7.5R. It's on nearly 50k miles and I have only owned it for the last 3k with no knowledge of it's past (think it was a company car). The garage has informed me that year of R doesn't have a haldex filter and only needs an oil change. Is that the case or should I go somewhere else? Thanks in advance, Webb

Evening all. Back story here, we had a mk7 GTD before some old wench on her way back from the garden centre pulled out at a junction and wrote it off the day before our wedding. It had 19" sandiagos fitted which I always loved and I've been looking for a set of wheels for my Lapiz blue 7.5 R but never considered them. Has anyone fitted a set that I could have a sneak peak at before dropping the cash and if its Lapiz blue, even better. If not, WHEEL SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!

Evening all. Seen lots of different rear diffusers available but looking for advice from people who may have bought and installed one. I will start by saying I'm 34 with a 6 year old. I'm not looking to be featured in max power but I do want it to be a little more "distinguished" then the standard one which sits too deep in my opinion. Second thing to this is installation. Is it a drill and screw job, do they use the same bolt holes as standard etc. Sorry for the wall of text!!!!

This has probably been covered lots in the past so sorry for repeating but how did people go about wrapping the chrome strip on their grill? (R 7.5) Is it best to remove the grill or can it be left on? Is there a particular vinyl people can recommend? Application tips. Same goes for the VW badge. Is that one just an ebay jobbie? Thanks mate! It's quite low spec to be honest. In order to get a 7.5 over a 7 I had to max my budget and lower my expectations! I can work with what I have though haha

Hi all, Wanted to say hello after purchasing my mk7.5 R yesterday. Previously had 2 x Mk3 GTI's, a mk3 VR6, mk4 R32, mk6 TDI and a mk7 GTD. Sold my mk4 R32 about 6 years to fund a house move and been desperate to get back in the scene for a while! Will be doing little bits over time but I'm 34 so not building something that looks like it's ready for a time attack!
