  1. Hi all, So I have made the move from 19 pret reps to 18 inch genuine prets a couple of months back. The thicker tyres have changed the car from firm and crashy to just firm. How I feel the car should be It's made the world of difference over poor surfaces and made the drive that bit more enjoyable. I wasn't sure if it was placebo but my wife has commented on a couple of occasion on the improvement. When the Dunlop Sport Maxx are done I will be replacing them with PS4's. In terms of asthetics I'll get a couple of pictures up of how it's changed the look an
  2. I can see the images. Anyone else having this issue?
  3. Images showing how the car currently sits on the 19" prets. The 18's are coming next week from Germany. I ended up buying genuine prets with Dunlop Sport Maxx tires. Wouldn't be my first choice of tyre but the deal was to good. Paid £1200 for genuine alloys with tyres delivered to N Ireland.
  4. @Stobsie well I ended up getting a good deal for alloys and tyres for around £1,200 delivered. They are coming with Dunlop Sport Maxx which wouldn't have been my choice but the deal was to good. Not sure if the Dunlop has a good reputation or not. I know they've been around for a long time.
  5. Great! I have them ordered and expecting them next week. Hopefully they do the trick!
  6. Hi all, I've decided to take the plunge and move from 19 prets to 18's due to the condition of the roads in my area. I would like to stick with genuine alloys if possible. The seller below says that these are genuine would anybody here be able to confirm this information? Company is from Germany - Orginal Rader https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_dmd=2&iconV2Request=true&_ssn=original-raeder&store_cat=0&store_name=tuninglifestyleshop&_oac=1&_nkw=pretoria Cheers
  7. Decision made!!! I'm going to go ahead and purchase the 18's with the PS4's. I am hoping that the lowering springs will cancel out the worst of the arch gap and the thicker rubber will smooth out the bad surfaces in these parts. Ill take a couple of pictures for anyone who interested to see the look before and after. I cant say that the price difference between the 18" (£106.00) & 19" (£167.00) PS4 didn't play its part in my decision. I'm now just noticing the difference in price between the PS4 & the PS4S. I'm going to have to look into this now and I'm sure I'll find it
  8. Hi Blower, Possibly a move from 19" with average tires to 18" with PS4s may be night and day. Unfortunately I also don't have the luxury of comfort mode. I was hoping that the VWR springs might cancel the our the negative effects of the 18's. Do you think you will make the move from the to the 18's?
  9. Hi Scarffyyy, You raise a valid point. I'm running Davanti Protoura Sport which were new on car when i purchased it. I'm now looking into things a little more as they are coming to the end of their life. I'm not sure if i should bite the bullet and replace the 19s with PS4S or replace alloys with 18's wrapped in PS4S. Thanks for your input!
  10. Hi all, I’m new to the forum and in search of some advice from you R enthusiasts. I’ve trolled the forum for similar topics and have found a few but feel free to send me links as I’m sure I’ve missed some. Had my 2015 R for a while now and really enjoying it. Coming from a Berlingo Van its defiantly made the daily commute more enjoyable. Saying that its not just as easy fitting 3 mountain bikes into the golf . The issue I'm having is that the roads I typically take to work or to the mountains are poor. The combination of the 19" Pret (reps), VWR springs is makin
