  1. Yeah they're saying December, but realistically will be March imo, but maybe because its a basic spec with no packs it'll come December? Happy to wait a little but just unsure if I'm paying too much for the lease
  2. Hi guys, stuck between getting a mk7.5 outright with prets for around 28k. Or leasing a mk8 9+23 10k miles for 370pm. I only intend to keep it 2 years either way, just no sure which one to do! The mk8 will be black with standard spec, whereas the mk7.5 will be pre opf and with prets, but the mk8 is faster! Not sure how the sound compares in the stock exhaust. What are your thoughts, mk7.5 outright or mk8 lease?

  4. Sorry around 26.5k*, so a 1.5k difference from the 28k
  5. I do think its quite steep, but the prets and rest of the car, with 1 owner as well, is in immaculate condition, no scratches on the prets. I thought the leather and reverse cam is quite hard to find on the 17/18. Prets i could get replicas. The link you sent was for a manual, but the dsg is around 25k for similar miles but in white - I want black, blue or grey. I did think it was steep but thought the extra 3k was coming from the condition of the car, the leather, the prets and the reverse cam. Just in that stuck phase of do I go for this or wait and see what else com
  6. Thank for all your responses folks! I'm nealy there with purchasing the golf r 17 plate, but I did spot an audi s3 black edition 18 plate for £28k with 18k miles, virtual cockpit, super sports seats, b&o sound. Its the same price as the golf r im looking at, a year newer, and now I'm confused as what to go for! The audi will hold its value in a few years compared to the golf r imo so im unsure, any thoughts??
  7. Hello all! Considering buying a used approved Mk7.5 Golf R. Would like some guidance please if you think the 17/18 plate or 19+ is better to get. How are your experiences in terms of performance & sound, is there that much difference between pre opf/ppf/wltp or post - whatever you want to call it - ppf? Thinking of getting a mk7.5 2017 with 24k miles, Vienna leather, rear cam, 19 prets for £28.5k, used approved from vw. Does that sound reasonable or do you think I should wait it out get something cheaper and stick replica prets on them? Any guidan
  8. Thank you all for your input, it was very much appreciated! I decided to withdraw my deposit and am not going to buy the car 😥 as I think I should get something that I really want as opposed to getting something half decent and having to spend loads on it. So I will wait for a 2018 model with black Prets low mileage and with warranty. Hopefully the prices drop too over the next 6 months as I think they will. Also, would a car that has a private warranty bought (Warrant wise or someone) compared to a VW approve used warranty have a lot of difference? As I'm always search
  9. Hi All, Buying a new Golf R (deposit down, still need to view it), first time every buying a performance car so would really appreciate so guidance! The car is a 2019 Golf R in Indium Grey, 19" Prets, DCC & Progressive steering.
