Hi all, New to the forum and apologies, I know this topic has probably been covered before, but I couldn’t find anything that directly covers it. I’m about to go Stage 2 on my R and I’m torn between installing a decat downpipe or a Scorpion high-flow sports cat. I’m already running a Milltek non-resonated cat-back, and while it sounds great, I’m definitely after more volume and some pops and bangs - something a bit more aggressive. What’s throwing me off is the mixed info online. Some say a 200-cell sports cat barely adds any noise, while others claim it makes a solid difference, especially when paired with a non-res system. Would love to hear from anyone running either setup: Does a sports cat actually give you more sound than stock, or is it subtle? Is the decat worth the hassle for the extra volume and drama (MOT and being technically uninsured)? How do both compare in terms of pops, bangs, and overrun crackles once mapped Stage 2? Appreciate any feedback before I make the call. Apologies again as I’m sure this has been discussed before. -
Hi all, im looking at modifying my exhaust and I would like to get a decat (want it very loud) but I keep hearing I won’t pass my MOT is there lots of garages which will pass it if I look in the right places? or will I struggle getting it through it’s MOT? Thanks in advance 😊

Hey guys, completely new to this. I have a 2015 7R currently running a custom Racingline stage 1 map and a Res delete, I wanna go that extra bit louder with the decat now. Been scouring online for days about all this talk about stage 2 which I really don’t want, I’m happy with the power - I just want the noise. I spoke to my tuner who is urging me to get stage 2 for £500 and then intakes etc which I really don’t want, he isn’t really giving me the option to “alter” my current map to support the decat. What can I do to get around this? Are their any other reputable companies that could alter my map for a decent price? If not I’m looking into just getting a custom backbox delete to make things simpler, but I’m not 100% on the sound. Any recommendations/suggestions? Thank you!!

Hi all, I’m looking to install a downpipe and decat on my Mk7.5 (keeping cat-back standard). Does anyone have any experience with either the Scorpion, Airtec or Milltek? Milltek is about £100 more expensive, but I can’t see any difference other than a more well known brand. Thanks! Alice 😊

Hope everyone’s having a good weekend! Im looking to invest into a JB4 soon after hearing so many good things about them, I almost went down the DTUK road but I’ve heard a lot of reports of them leaning out, whereas the JB4 controls the AFR’s and Fuelling. (ps if anyone is selling one secondhand I’ll buy it) My R is a 2016 Manual model, all stock apart from a Custom built cat back which some of you may have seen or even heard. Im planning on installing the JB4 to reap the benefits of the power gains and logging, but I’m curious to know if I install a decat downpipe will the JB4 take care of this i.e no EML or putting it into a limp mode? Sorry in advance if this has been covered, I’m new to the JB4 and if I’m honest the user interface is overwhelming with things to adjust and the forums are split with people saying the JB4 does/doesn’t sort out a decat Downpipe, regards, Dom
