Now on Discovercare....downloading as I type. hopefully a bit more accurate (As a GP, I need the newer housing developments on the map as often a total maze for housecalls)

I recently updated my maps to European Countries – Bundle 1 Updated: : 6/17/19 Since then, my car is very frequently showing the wrong speed limits. It shows 60mph on nearly all dual carriageways, except where there is a lower limit. It often shows 20mph on housing estates where there is no such limit. Today, it suddenly turned to 20mph driving along a 30mph road. There wasn't even one of those school signs that says "20mph when lights flash". Then later it stayed on 40mph despite entering a 30mph zone with visible speed limit signs. It used to have occasional glitches, but that was often down to either a poorly maintained road sign or to a here maps database issue which I corrected by submission. Now it is many times a day. I have checked the here maps database, and it is correct for the roads that my car shows wrongly. Is it just me? Is there a setting I have inadvertently changed (i have looked and failed to find one). I backed up the previous SD card database so will reinstall that if I cannot find out.

Hi, anyone else had issues with SatNav not recording the correct location on a 2017 mk7? Infuriating when the nav system can get me travelling at ninety degrees to my actual direction, and be anything up to 8 miles out. When I was trying to factory reset the damned thing, I found a "view satellites" option which showed "satellites 0/0", so I am assuming that means it can see zero and has lock on zero. Thing is, sometimes it seems to work, and no matter how I try, I cannot for the life of me find the menu option to "view satellites" again (and yes, checked the manual, again and again). other problems seem to be very slow to navigate, often telling me to turn just after a junction as it struggles to keep up with location. Another clue is the dash car data showing "no location data to display". Thing is, every time I go to the dealers it starts working again, and this is doing my head in. Previous car was an Audi A6 and that satnav drove me to the point of trading the car for this R. Am I just in the Bermuda Triangle of West Yorkshire?

Hello all, Recently purchased a Golf R MK7 with a decent spec, but I didn't manage to cop the Pro-Nav with it, although I have the smaller screen with the Sat-Nav upgrade (which is the next best thing in my opinion). My question is... whats the possibility of purchasing a second Pro-Nav and installing in replacement of mine? Would it be something that you would have to take to VW to get coded up and fitted or would one be able to do 90% on the drive way? Has anyone done this, or know of anyone who has. Any advice on this would be grateful.

Hey all, Anyone a bit of a computer whizz? i downloaded discovercare onto my mac today to update my nav software, follwed instructions all looked very simple, selected Europe region 1, and Gen2 discover media. Asked me to put my VW sd card in so i did. It has then took 10 hours to create backup and download the file. Began to install, reached 2% then kicked me out with an error. I went to open discovercare again and this time it asked me to install update 1.0.4, not sure why it didnt download the latest version earlier today? anyway downloaded and tried to start again, however now it does not register the SD card as the VW SD card. The computer registers it when i plug it in etc, just the discovercare app doesnt see it when asking for the VW card. Any idea how ive made a royal cock up by following on screen instructions, i have no Nav now, apart from the apple car play which i dont like Cheers,
