Morells
As the title suggests can you remove the chrome/silver trim on the bottom of the front bumper (lip) without removing the bumper?
Steve_3939
As the title suggests can you remove the chrome/silver trim on the bottom of the front bumper (lip) without removing the bumper? yes you can but I don't know how. VW replaced passenger side quarter bit when In for service and told me it was done without removel so didn't charge labour. Cost about £40 though for the short bit of plastic. I hit a fox just to say and it cracked it. (not the fox)

almac
Chrome was a bad move for a range topping hot hatch ! I'd love to rip mine off too
Nocolas
Sometimes I think it's a bad move, but occasionally I think it looks great. I'm changing mine to gloss black soon. Grill to do tomorrow.

ChrisL
I'd like to know how to remove it, could it be hydro-dipped in gloss black?
Turbo Benzina!
Please post photos when you're done! I'm not a fan of the chrome strip myself but can't decide whether the grill and emblem would be better off wrapped black as well. Edited December 13, 2016 by Turbo Benzina! Jmorgan93
I went to a wrapping company to get the chrome done gloss black, they did it for £45 and took about an hour - wrapped in situe on the car. Came out really well! They said it wasnt as much of a pain as expected because the gaps at either end of the bumper strip are actually bigger than they look for getting into.
