slider09
Hi Finally received my OBDEleven dongle this morning. Plugged it in and it is showing 3 faults. My car has just come back from vw this morning having had a new pcv valve fitted. Pretty sure they would have scanned the car for faults as part of their health check. So what are these faults? I think I read somewhere that OBDEleven will find these faults and they are not really faults; but can't remember where I read this. Anyone else always show faults when connecting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ah ok, very frustrating. So when it was connecting assume you ran a full scan then which gives you detail as to what faults have been logged. Keep trying and hopefully you'll be able to access the info. I had a couple faults show ip on mine, one was a static current too high thing and one an aircon thing but pretty sure these are non faults you refer to in your initial post. Car is running fine and no warning lights. Let us know if you get it to work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Booth11
Very. Someone else have similar issues in another recent thread. If I were you I'd delete the app and start again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ninja_geezer
is this with engine off ? ive seen these on all the golfs ive scanned.. i think the obd eleven picks up things that are not an issue . sometimes you may find after clearing they are not there the next scan but another day they maybe ,that's what ive found. Booth11
Glad you've managed to get back into it. Your faults are different from the ones mine showed, but as said, think it just picks up faults that aren't really faults, especially if ignition is on but engine is not running. Way I figure it, if a warning lights comes on, or there's some physical indication of a problem then it will get taken in to be looked at. Otherwise carry on as normal. slider09

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I did a few: Chirp on lock/unlock - long coded Stop/start disable - long coded Headlamp washers off - long coded Enable fan level display on auto - app Reverse lights full brightness - long coding DRL 100% with headlights - long coding Full brake lights - long coding Coming home lights long coding I think there's a couple of others but forgotten what, lol. My biggest recommendation would be disable Stop/Start, but that's not everyone's choice. I'd add the 5 x brake lights to the list which enables inner rears to work in addition to the normal brake lights. Equally with disabling headlight washers. 5x brake lights Fan speed lights in auto setting (aircon) slider09
slider09
Thanks. I already had the 5x brake lights and fan speed on auto, courtesy of a member on here. I have reversed my stop / start, so by default it is OFF, then press the button to turn it on - so no need to fully disable with OBDEleven. Re the headlight washers, aren't these a requirement for xenons? My car is due it's first mot next month, will leave as they are in case these are part of the test??Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PraggersK
Will the OBDeleven work with the Facelift R? Their forum doesnt seem to think so at the moment.
