BCS Powervalve launches new Downpipe variant

Recommended Posts

Over the last 10 years I’ve had about 6 exhaust systems from Nige
All made absolutely perfectly, in fact too nice to be on the underside of the car.
Customer experience is a big thing with Powervalve exhausts and if for whatever reason you do need to contact after your purchase then nothing’s too much trouble.

Thanks for the support guys... always a real pleasure dealing with genuine R fans of which you all know I am myself.

Jeremy - I have tried to answer your questions on here and by email, including the price with our forum member discount and shipping.

i've also gone through the payment process with regard to the deposit on out of stock items.

If you want me to send the answers on here again, I'm more than happy to do so. However, it's probably unwise to continue the conversation publically so the personal messaging system seems proper I think.

To this end I will not be answering any more inquiries from you on the open forum.

Alternatively we wish you well in your search for a downpipe.

Many thanks

Nige

Well said Nige,

Just read this thread and quite honestly I dont understand the attitude of some people.

Wanted to post a quick note to say im very impressed with the way you have handled the situation and at least in my eyes you have only increased your already impressive reputation.

If I ever go down the exhaust route on the R estate I know who I will be speaking to.

Have a great weekend

regards

Hi Nige,

judging by some of your comments earlier in this thread it appears the 200 cell cat is going to be more durable over the long term vs the 100 cell? For big turbo applications like Littco L450/500 or in my case EQT Vortex running ethanol blends roughly how long would you expect the 100 cell and 200 cell cats to last before replacement would be required? I understand there are a number of variables to give an exact answer, but is there a rough timeline you can provide before replacement may be required?

Thank you!

      Hey all!

I figured I’d start a topic for my lovely OPF 2020 Golf R! This topic is mainly to showcase the journey of my Golf R and encourage other Lapiz blue owners to share theirs!

I’d like to welcome and share:

      1. Car modification journey
      2. Road trips/ scenic photographs
      3. Any other Lapiz blue R related stuff!

I want to share my cars modification journey (it’s currently completely stock) and have many ideas for build. I also plan to take my car around Europe and vlog it for YouTube- I’ll be sharing the journey of that too!

ALL LAPIZ BLUE MK7/7.5 OWNERS WELCOME! (Sorry to other colors haha, All Golf R’s are lovely regardless what colour but this one is for my Lapiz people!)

Evening Folks hope your all doing okay.

Decided to remove the JB1 from R and try a Revo Stage 1 remap. Car is standard except a drop in filter, turbo elbow and pipe (snow grate removed). Still running a pedal box too.

The remap pulls harder through the rev range and there is more power at the top end than the jb1 gave. Its drives like factory but with a load more power.

Is it worth 3 times the price of a used jb1.....quick answer for me is mmm yes. But different horses for different courses. It also came down the the garage doing the work - very experienced mech / race car builder tuner. And local too! Got me involved and made me feel right at home, so worth every penny. Discount on future work tops it off.

I did consider the dsg remap but feel its not need with the 7 speed dsg box, especially as I always drive in 'manual' . No issues so far. If any slippage occurs ill get Tvs to up the clamping pressure.

The in dash power gauge has been recalibrated and reads 287kw /385 bhp. Not sure how accurate that is.... I would estimate torque at 500ish. It really does pull hard in gear now.

      Hi guys,

Been looking around different tuners and MRC Tuning has caught my eyes as I’ve heard a lot of good reviews.

I’ve got 67 plate Golf R MK7.5 and looking to go stage 1. Has anyone recently got their car tuned there and what was the price if you don’t mind me asking?
How does it drive now compared to stock?

Appreciate those who reply in advance.

      Take care VW gang!

      Hi all,

I have recently purchased a Remus backbox to fit to my MK7 golf R. I purchased it from the Facebook golf owners group as an exhaust that would fit on my 64 plate R. I sent it to a garage to get fitted and they have told me that it will not fit onto my car as the place where they would cut the original exhaust would not fit in the Remus backbox and even if it did it wouldn’t work due to the original have flat spots? Here is the pictures of the exhaust below. Would anyone be able to help? Have I brought the wrong exhaust for my car? Or do I need the full system for it to fit?

      Thanks.

Hi, Im looking to remap my R 7.5 to stage 1. The car has a few mods including a chameleon grey wrap but its time for more power. What is the best stage 1 map out there for the price? I don't mind buying an air intake or downpipes etc. as long as the I can feel a decent upgrade in power/torque.
