Dynaudio

I don't have it and find the standard system perfectly acceptable. I don't play very loud music when driving, as it takes away from my concentration which I prefer to keep on the road. Also, I listen to the radio (spoken - LBC or sometimes talkSport/R5/R4) more than music, so no need for anything more than standard.

However, at some stage I might look into changing the bass speakers that come with the car. Anyone know what they are and whether they come with cheap paper cones?

I'm sad to say that I'm not as impressed with Dynaudio on my new car as I expected to be.

I am a music connoisseur though, but all sound is subjective - Just because I don't like it doesn't mean anyone else has to have the same opinion.

The last amplified/sub sound systems I had were in the 1980's with Pioneer or Kenwood 12" subs, upgraded speakers and a good amp - Sounded much better then than my Dynaudio, which I feel is missing the following:

1. Not broad enough sound adjustments

2. I feel the speakers themselves are the very weak spot - just poor sound range, too boomy, like too much mid, but unable to really get rid of it. Plus the rear speakers are dreadful.

I will probably now be looking at upgrading the speakers for direct fit swap items as I feel this will sort everything.

I agree, as much as they are an improvement they don’t quite stack up to be 500 quids worth!

Doesn’t help having a BMW with B&O speakers.

The dynaudio is very similar in terms of quality to my Sony system in the previous ST

They do use HK, B&O was the high end system.  It’s changed to B&W now, but is only available on the 5 series upwards, I have it in my 750 and it’s fantastic.

I’ve had 5 x VW company cars in the last and the standard speakers were always pretty good, a lot better than the basic setup I had in a subsequent 520d.  I’m hoping Dynaudio is good, but not expecting it to be amazing as it’s not an expensive upgrade.

I like it tbh - glad I picked it. B and W used to do the sound system for Jaguar too - think you could get up to 20 speakers on some models! Crazy!

Diamond tweeters in the 7 and all the speakers are backlit!

Please excuse the slightly off topic (and poor quality) picture....

All subjective but the Dynaudio is the best system I’ve had in a car.

Admittedly not had an Audi but have had H+K BMW.

IMHO Dynaudio gives a natural sound. I find equaliser best left untouched. Source quality matters. Radio sounds pretty good but downloaded Tidal at hifi quality sounds great. Best is SD card with a lossless format.

For some reason CDs don’t sound great.

Wow I like it. Has the feel of an 80's Juke box
