No Ian, I didn’t have a spare set of wheels so I had a courtesy car from Lepsons for 3 days which cost me £50.  It was a Corsa which embarrassingly  I managed to pick up a speeding fine in.

I found the Lepsons refurbished Prets stood up to stone chips a lot better than the VW factory finished Prets.

Might as well get your mk2 wheels done at same time. 👍

theskivingscholar how correct you were, just scrapped another replica 19” pret (cracked, assume a pothole), now going for a set of 18” Audi A8, apparently monoblocks… can’t see many examples though!

fed up of buckling / cracking on the 19” so looking to get something that can put up with our terrible roads.. just wished I’d have gone 18” earlier

will post pics when they’re on

Had the Audi wheels refurbished, look ok but not half as good as the Pretoria’s. Should be much more resistant to pot holes!d568e6dad7f909d08c1d63d150e5f31c.jpg

Hi Guys

Does anyone think I would have any issues fitting these spec Audi wheels to my golf R?

my thoughts is they should fit the same as a Cadiz wheel, would you all agree or have I missed something?

thanks

Can’t think why they wouldn’t fit.
I have Winter wheels

18 x 8.5J ET 45 with 235:40:18 tyres.

Another is sure to have the 100% definitive answer you seek.

These are the dimensions of my Jerez

yours are 1/2” wider

so offset should be smaller by 1/4” (6.35mm)

I assumed @higgo you are asking about fitment to a Mk7.5R?

Interesting, so i take it the smaller offset is to counteract the wider rim?

Cheers

Hi everybody, I hope to be in the right place for my question. Last year I bought a set o black pretoria wheels, 19' ET42 8.5' width from CMWheels. I have to say that the quality of the wheels is really high, perfectly round, low weight to balance (a good quality factor) and resisted well to many potholes (italian roads are sometimes really dangerous...) until some days ago, when a really deep pothole damaged 1 wheel. Locally I found only one repair shop, but asked me 240€for the repair, well over the price that I paid, so I would buy a new wheel, but CMWheels is out of stock and they don't know when will be available, and locally the few shop that sells this wheel are not willing to sell a single wheel, only sets of 4. I am considering to buy fron Germany but strangely am not able to find a german seller of replica wheels, so please is anyone able to give me the name of some wheel shop from Deutscheland?

Thanks
