What did you do to your R today?

Could you maybe tell me what other options are provided with this?

Is it worth looking at? I've not ever used anything like this, so would want to make sure it's safe, however I wouldn't mind turning the soundaktor off/down and the fan level display I wouldn't mind either!

Thanks :)

Here's a link to a useful post on the ODB Eleven options. (Hope it helps)

Not exactly earth moving stuff, but swapped old Bosch wiper blades for new this morning.  Toyed with trying the PIAA ones which get rave reviews from some users, but the aerotwins have done such sterling work on my R in the last three plus years that why change a winning product!  Only changed the fronts this time as the rear blade is fine.  10 sec job!

Finally got my drivers seat leather cover/skin replaced this week.

It's been on back order since August!

Replaced by dealer, after body shop monkey managed to put a hole in the bolster, while it was in having the Pan roof frame replaced under warranty.

Again, can't fault customer service from Windrush, Maidenhead.👍

Replied to VW’s email offer to renew my VW Service Plan schedule:

Quote

Hi **********

i will not be renewing my Service Plan for the Golf because for the past two services, VW ********, ******* have charged me £30 each time for the VW Recommended oil that is supposed to be supplied as a part of the Service Plan that came with the car ...I have since had the latest instance refunded after I complained about this up-selling practice! But the former charge (dated **/**/****) has not been returned. I am expected to revisit to the Dealer’s and lodge a complaint (which I already did for both instances). As I don’t have the time to sit around VW dealerships, for what could be over an hour, Hoping to see a manager! Also, my level of TRUST has been severely dented by these tactics! How can I now be assured that the Recommended oil will be used at future VW services? I can’t, So I’ve decided to vote with my wallet and take the vehicle to a VAG Specialist I already know I can trust, to have it serviced in future.

My wife’s Polo will also be serviced by the same Specialist, as that warranty ran out earlier this month. I hope you understand that the loss of Trust in VW Dealers isn’t of my making, and it seems that this particular Dealer has taken enough rope to hang all of them.

Thank You
I Am

It’s their loss.

Received my vagbremtechnic 362mm kit and matching 310mm rear discs.

Still looking for 4pot TTRS calipers to complete the kit after repainting them with R logo.

The rear disks (Hubs) will start rusting within 2 weeks as I’ve just installed a similar product and it’s driving me nuts.

I'm going to put gyeon rim on the hubs. If it rusts at any point I'll spray them silver with heat resistant paint. I've been able to keep the oem disc hub clean so far, are these worse?
