What did you do to your R today?

It was between Eibach and apr. But I think Eibach will be good. I just hope I can only mount the rear and keep it street legal. The guy at garage wasn't so sure about it and I might also have the front too🙄 I dont want anymore problems with the state highways authority😒

Hopefully it'll be a problem free installation and mod for you Booo...:)

I did some online Rear Diffuser shopping today....Still undecided but am leaning towards in ISweep one...:)

Give me your opinion's and feedback but have narrowed it down to these 3 at the moment....

I just want something simple, but aggressive, no hassle installation and no painting required...Stock R diffuser is too plain for my tastes

And the new rear diffuser will show off and accentuate my new 4 inch black diamond exhaust tips when I get them...

@goodbadboyI like the one in the first pic. Looks same as OEM but with two extra diffuser thingys (official name) in the middle. Where is that bought from and how much?

Edit: although it is very subtle

The first one. I have one which is almost similar from Maxton..

Wow.. Thats hell a lot things done in one go🤪

Those Club sport discs and pads can't be cheap.

Seeing all those items at the garage shop would have made me gone on a shopping spree🙈

I got a a bit of a deal in buying the CS pads and discs together.

As you say it wasn’t exactly cheap but it helped that the spark plugs and res delete were fitted for free and there was only a very small fitting charge on the ARB as I bought it from the Indy specialist.  The car felt noticeably nicer all round on the drive home ☺️

I pretty much made my mind up to go stage 1 next Spring.  Some of the Revo kit is very nice but not cheap! The Racingline turbo inlet elbow looked suspiciously like the CLP one I fitted this week, with a hefty price hike!

Lots of stuff done on my R today.   Went in to my local Indy specialist to have new plugs, DSG service, Haldex service and brake fluid change.

Then whilst there it had a few mods...

Clubsport discs and pads on the front with silver R calliper plates. Much more positive and sharper.

Brembo rear discs and Jurid pads

Superpro 22mm rear ARB. Big difference. The rear end feels much tighter and flatter when cornering.

...and my favourite BCS res delete. Makes a big difference at idle and when on the move, particularly on the up shifts Like an old group B rally car. What’s equally as good though is the fact there’s no discernible difference when pootling along at NSL. Really impressive. It was remarked that the quality of the BCS was a step up from other res delete kits they’ve fitted in the past

I also had to endure the corner of temptation

So it’s been a really good day.  A few more mods to do, just waiting for them to arrive and then that’s it for a while. A stage 1 Revo map is looking highly likely in the not too distant future.

Good to hear about the Superpro sway bar . That’s next on my list along with caster increase front bushes and the sub frame alignment kit. I was the same last time I was in that place , too much temptation in that corner

yeah, racing line parts are expensive or at least here😞.

It’s enjoyable to watch you transform your R.l😎🤙

What kind of difference have noticed with the res delete??

Nice work, as for the BCS res delete you get what you pay for, I got a cheapo res delete on my R when I got it as I was looking for a full catback system so didn't want to spend more than the £50 it cost. Almost got a BCS full system kept bugging Nige with questions and then at the last moment a 2nd hand Remus came up at an unbelievable price so I snapped that up instead.

Interesting on the rear sway bar as I'm tempted to get one myself along maybe with some uprated bushes.

The Remus systems sound awesome. Are you pleased with it?

It was apparent on the drive home that the ARB makes a big difference. Coming from the über wallowy/floaty/crashy Superb to the R was already a revelation anyway but the ARB has made it feel nicer still. A good mod IME (so far)

It’s made it more obvious I’m still a child! 😂 The DSG farts are very addictive.  I need to find some tunnels to drive through.

I like it so far. Makes tickover, idle and acceleration sound more purposeful with a deeper, more bassy exhaust tone and the farts are fun. Though when just pootling along it’s no different to stock. My biggest worry beforehand was that it would be obtrusive and make the car less refined when on motorways and similar; I needn’t have worried at all. That anti-drone pipe isn’t a gimmick!

Are you you thinking about one Boo? 😀

@Penguin by the way, what setting did you get the sway bar set on ? I believe there’s two settings

The harder one of the two. Though apparently the softer one is still a marked improvement over stock. Feeling the weight difference of the 22mm (hollow) stock bar vs the solid 22mm Superpro it’s easy to see why.

That's where my luck is, hehe, there's absolutely loads of tunnels around here, and multiple to and from my commute to work! Smaller tunnels work better than large ones. I took a trip to the large tunnel under the shopping centre at Hatfield, and it's just extreme echo. Much more effective to blast through a short tunnel.
