sk8chris 0
Hi All, Would absolutely love it if someone could help me out with how to get rid of this irritating warning! I had a minor service done 2 weeks ago (not at the VW dealer) and they obviously didn't reset the reminders as the 'oil change now!' warning has started and it's driving me up the wall! I googled how to reset it and tried everything but it will not go away, Turn ignition off, hold 0.0, turn ignition on, get the reset option, press 0.0 again but nothing, tried it with hazards on as was one suggestion but again...nothing. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks

rosshutchie 24
You don't need VCDS to do it. Is yours a MK7 or 7.5 with the virtual cockpit? I followed this for my 7.5. Worked 100%

To make matters worse I now have ‘error start-stop system’ and the engine managements light on. Really starting to hate this car.

kiddiecobbler 0
I have the same problem after changing the oil on my 2015 MkVII Golf Sportswagen. Tried the dashboard reset countless times - it reset the service alert, but not the Change Oil Now! alert. Also I tried to reset the alert using my OBDeleven twice; did not work - burned 20 points with no effect. I notice that this post is quite old now - did you manage to resolve it? PS: Battery voltage is not a problem, I expect there's some significance to the fact that neither reset method worked.
Ollievt 0
I have exactly the same issue with a 64 plate Seat Leon. The oil service will not reset using the buttons on the dash, and I now have the stop/start fault too…. Did you manage to get your issues resolved??
fastandy 60
Need a scan really with vcds or obb11 for the start stop. With the service reset, all I can think of is the car has been set to variable service regime.
