Enable Speed Limit Display Without Lane Assist Camera

I know the Golf can recognise speed limit signs using the lane assist camera and I had it working on my previous car (Skoda). However, my Golf doesn't have the lane assist camera in the windscreen and I don't want to install one.

 

I'm wondering if there's a way to display the current speed limit from the sat nav map / database on the active info display? Seems like something that could be enabled through VCDS.

Go to long code in hex5F module and tick Byte24, Bit 6 (VZA- VerkehrsZeichen-Anzeige: Traffic Sign Display) like this:

PS: but note that this will put the speed limit on the MIB screen - it won't replicate this on the dash (I believe).

mine mib disco pro showed speed limits on nav. the 2.5 disco pro 2018 doesnt show. will try this coding

I've got the speed limit showing on the main nav screen based on map data but cant get it to show the same info on the dash
