I was Involved in accident and my baby is damaged😥

Well peps, 

It's been a while and just wanted to start with wishing you all a happy year. 

 

I can literally say, I've start my year with a bang.. Was involved in a accident just a few hours ago. No human was injured just my baby😓.. The road was very icy and I couldn't manage to stop in time and drove straight in, the car ahead.

 

I would appreciate your assessment of the damage.. After the accident, the engine was running and I could move the car to the side. After a while, I could see smoke from the engine and could also smell something was bruning.

I can't deny that I'm feeling pretty sad & depressed right now..

Oh Booo!  That’s is awful start to the year, and a tragic sight.  hope you’re ok and not injured, must be shaken up though.  And after all the recent work you’ve had on the car with the wrap etc too.  Best see what the full damage assessment is.  Really sorry for you.

Not how you want to start a year 😕 Main thing is everyone is ok, the damage looks bad but really is not these cars are made to crumble like this for safety. There is a lot of coolant connections on that side so most likely it has dumped a load of that and created a bit of steam/smoke I'm sure insurance will get it all sorted. On the bright side some downtime to consider some new mods? 😃

Just have little headache and I can feel the strain around the neck.. Otherwise I'm feeling fine physically but not mentally..  

Yeah, it really breaks my heart after all the love and care I've given her😥

 

The only positive thing I see about incident is that, the Insurance company won't hassel me about any mods, because the car is totally road legal, so that's one less thing not to worry about. I'm just hoping there isn't any damage to the chassis.

 

If I'm up for it, I might go to the workshop tomorrow and have a look at it, and will have more info and pictures..

My first thought when I hit the car was, I hope there aren't any children in the car,, 

I just ran over and to the other car and I can't forget that facial expressions the guy had.. He was totally in shock..

Not at all but like you said, everyone is ok.. The other drive was only 21 and this was his first time to be involved in an accident. The hood looked like a crumbled can of cola😅..

 

The only mods I could think of now, is getting a cardon hood with vents😁

 

The only thing I'm amazed about was the air bags didn't go off in neither of our cars.. Can that be an Indication that the collision wasn't that hard?

Oh No. oh Booo!  After All you’ve done to it too.  Hope it fixes back to fantastic very soon.  Don’t be way too hard on yourself either - there but for the grace of god go many of us.   Only Booo could reduce his speed using a Mercedes Benz.

How’s the head today Booo?  Hope you’re feeling ok as it all sinks it.  Neil’s comment about it taking a Merc to slow your speed made me laugh!  In some ways these things strengthen the bond with the car- through good times and the bad.   Give it a few weeks and it’ll all be fixed and a chapter to put behind you.  🖤
