Finally he admits it’s better than all the others......only after a £11k investment.

Still I was interested in his assessment of the B16 Damptronic coil overs.

Best video he has ever done....The spec of this R is similar to some mods I have done and will be doing....including the Bilstein B16's....I'm glad he loved it...I knew he would......so glad he finally drove a tuned Golf R and reviewed it........R's are great stock.....but with this much power of these types of mods....It's unreal how awesome these cars can be......I'm soooooooooooo looking forward to my Stage 2 finally very soon...after Covid....I enjoyed this video and will watch again a few more times....Thanks for posting Msportsman....:afro:

Yeap almost same as my R except the BBK and the B16’ Damptronic which I nearly pulled the trigger on Black Friday.

Ive been looking to “maybe” move to the MK8 R or switch altogether to an M2 Comp A45S or wait to the new RS3 but the pricing of these puts me off and the monthly outlay plus we’ve got a new kitchen and extension planned😂

Just shows how good these cars can become which puts their performance into the same ball park as the above cars for much less money.

My car has had a fair amount lavished on it over a 5 year period and it’s still relatively low miles at 37k it seems unwise to move it on just to get the latest model.

Never say never I’ll look and drive the new one when it arrives.

After watching the full video twice, I've unsubscribed from him as it's clear he didn't know what half the mods were which is pretty shocking considering on the potential influence on the VW community he has.

This guy is NOT a car guy by any stretch of your imagination, sorry if you disagree with me but regardless it's pretty clear to me as a VW fan or not.... He had no clue......

He seems alright, he's a car salesman. I don't think he's really into tuning and he does admit to that.
He is not a salesman, he has portrayed himself as a VW expert/specialist and over the years been watching him for a while as I'm sure lots of users have.

I'm disappointed in how clear lack of knowledge on VW mods.

Agreed our disagree it's your choice mate

At points in the video he seems to be gutted to admit that there are aspects that are better than his tcr.

He says he will skip talking about the power whilst at the same time, the power aspect is featured in the title of the video.

I did have to replay one bit.. did I just hear that? Yes, I did! " An oil catch can lowers the octane which is good! " 🤣

Yeap I noted that comment 🤔

He’s a small time trader who sells VW’s and used to write the odd article for VW Driver over many years. I think he tries to do the odd job on cars for mostly sales prep from his garage and posts some of these videos on line.

I think he must either punch above his weight or use his past limited motoring knowledge to sweet talk VW press departments getting press cars!

Anyway the TCR is a great car no doubt but when you get to a Golf R at stage 1 or 2 simply you need a good 4WD system to deploy the torque these cars produce.

As for the VWR catch can comments....clueless !

Possibly he is thinking of the oil that would getting burnt (without a catch can) has a lower octane rating than the usual (petrol) fuel ?  Who knows ?

The way I look at videos like this is that free content on the WWW might just be worth what you've paid for it.  It is up to us as consumers to decide whether it is worth taking notice of or not.

Great car in the Video. What a fantastic build. Clearly he isn't a true enthusiast as had very little knowledge about the Mods and really did he need to list all of the individual costs? Either way was great to see another great stage 2 R.

Yeah I thought the 11k on mods all over his title was a bit of a bitch as he then goes on about it in the video almost insinuating that it takes 11k to make the Golf R into a great car. It’s just his way on past videos he’s done.

The R is a great car stock and these mods have just improved the base car a great deal.

He comes across as a bit of a [email protected]

Lol he’s blocked me on Twitter because I questioned VW’s pricing and the ‘look’ of the new clubsport......He also upset a guy regarding a purchase I believe when he didn’t seem interested in a cash deal on a car, he said he preferred finance buyers because of the kickback he gets.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

For a very short time I followed him on Instagram but the ‘unfollow’ button was quickly utilised.
