im only saying what i was told today bud , as the garage that has car is quite expensive. hence why he phoned them looking for advice . .this may still be nothing to do with the map i will know this on monday ,if its injectors then its down to myself but garage said they will know when they get injectors back if not them then it will be ecu ....which then proves the map actually caused damage ,

again il update on monday hopefully !

It’s now Thursday!

hows the car and update?

Car in garage still ....he reckons 1 injector ! And is going to map it again himself ....so going on that ,the other guy didn’t know as much as he thought but I’m still guessing ,still no mention of fault !!!
cheers

Just caught up with this.

Seems very odd to me, as a single faulty injector would usually cause a misfire and definitely not the fault codes you listed before? And it almost certainly would bring on the EML but the car would still run, probably in limp mode though.

Are you confident that this garage is a VAG specialist, as one minute the ECU is fried, the next it's injectors?

I personally would not want it mapping again for the time being, just a stock map put back on - the original mapper should have a copy of this btw.

Glad to hear there is some progress.

although  I think regardless if paid for etc, it’d be beneficial for other members, so they don’t have to go through  this extremely unfortunate event that you are currently experiencing.

there is a similar thread about main dealers to avoid/use with caution.
