NRW 2,121 Report post Posted February 24 Hi Carl. What are you thinking of? New or Used? - hatch, 3dr/5dr, Manual or DSG? -Estate? How much do you want to spend. New Mk8 £35k and upwards. Plenty Recent Used Mk7.5 cars of both types around £30k and below. Plenty folk will help you refine your preferences😀 Difficult to Test Drive cars in the current climate. Booth11 17,735 Report post Posted February 24 Welcome to VWROC! Theres a few threads on here comparing mk7 to 7.5, and of course now the mk8 is in the equation which is obviously very new so barely anything in the way of real world user experience of it. Post up your questions and I’m sure plenty of advice will be forthcoming.
gregozedobe 1,770 Report post Posted February 24 Very sensible to do your research first - gives you a much better chance to find a good car that suits your needs.

Let’s see which version you like. You can’t go wrong everyone has their favourites. I like 7 and 7.5 best, 7.0 here though edging it out. Colour is more important. And whether DSG or manual. DCC but don’t pay extra for it.
