So apparently my car has been fixed 😂 I will collect it shortly. I'm a little bit dubious about it all, and to be honest it has certainly unsettled me about its reliability making me think twice about keeping it 😟 The problem is that I love the car and there isn't really anything else i want. Will it happen a third time ? Lol

Glad it’s all done Kev.   Totally understand your concerns after the samr issue twice.  I really hope this the end of the issue on your car and that it is trouble fee from this point on.  🤞 Things like these do really cast doubt over the reliability which is a great shame as they are great cars.

First proper gremlin today.

 

said something like, drive to workshop, no power must have been in limp mode. Seems fixed after a restart after a rest for a couple of hours.

Interesting fuel pressure faults. Glad it resolved itself after a "timeout"!!

Still way better. I worked on 95 a few years (during my MSc, ran numerical analysis and wrote my thesis on it)  and it was like owning an old Alfa, great while it works but required a lot of attending to.

Bit, yes, I am reminded of it every day when I turn on my car, electrically, buckle up, put on my shades, connect my phone, and only then ignite the engine 🙂

@TechieAli: Hi.

 

Thanks for posting-up the part-SCAN - but it's far better NOT to edit SCAN reports because every piece of deleted (assumed irrelevant) data will very likely be read by someone else's fresh-eyes as being valuable diagnostic information.

 

With absolutely no offense to @blizzard60 and while I also hope that "it resolved itself after a "timeout"" - I suspect that it might not!!

 

So, my hunch is that you can probably ignore the  23076 - Implausible Data Received from Diagnostic Gateway Module error. Look at the date stamp (2024.06.23) and at the Fault Frequency (1) and at error status (Intermittent - Not Confirmed). These data-points ALL suggest that this error has a fault-category that I call an "aged fault" - meaning that this error has NOT been repeated in a "driving-cycle" since first registration in fault memory.

 

The remaining 4 x error codes are ALL related because the date/time stamps are diagnostically close! However, since we know nothing about the engine in this car (another consequence of posting-up a part SCAN -is this engine diesel, or petrol?) it ain't possible to comment further! 

 

Nevertheless, the obvious place to start diagnostics is to check the the fuel pump(s) (plural because possibly this car has both a low-pressure pump in the tank and high pressure pump on the engine - maybe?). But- these type of fuel-based faults can be tricky - less probable, but still viable causes include engine timing and the build-up of gunk inside the inlet manifold
