Very good tyre test here of 14 tyres. Mentioned it here as he is testing on a Golf GTI 🙂   Interesting to see he is testing 2 of the tyres fitted to the R. Seems the Bridgestone S005 doesnt

19" Hankooks non PP.

I would interested to hear what you think of these tyres as I've a non PP 19" Estoril car coming soon and would choose the Goodyears and avoid the Bridgestones if given the choice.

Whilst they wouldn’t be my first choice the Bridgestones haven’t been as poor as I remember on my previous Golf’s. Certainly in the dry anyway, not really pushed it in the wet.... yet 😃

Could be the tyres or the way the new R puts it power down though 🤷🏻‍♂️.

As a side note... the continentals on the wife A35 are truly terrible. Terrible grip and lasted 6k on the fronts! Don’t buy them for the R 👍😃

Out of interest what Continentals were they? I had factory fit Continental 5's on my R and I actually didn't think they were too bad. Nearly 14K miles and still had a lot of life left in them. If I were to have replaced them I'd have deffo put Michelin's on, but I didn't think the conti's were too bad.
