What software and hardware version does your R have?

I thought it be interesting to see what software and hardware versions other R owners have, as some are having niggles and others don’t. I find mine quite laggy.

I’ve seen the latest:

nav is 21.5

and display unit/control panel is H47

so mine is old already lol

HW is a given, but SW you can update over the air, no ?

That’s a database. Not software, per se.

Although, come to think of it, software is also just lines of text and numbers :-)

True.  I just said that certain updates are done OTA. Either way mine has had a nav database update OTA since I first got the car. :)

I really hope this works here as well.
On the cubic website it only states EU countries.

A unknown I guess with it being an import into Israel.  Have you thought about contacting VW to find out what may or may not be available to you?

VW are pretty explicit that some things vary by territory.

That said the software updates are things that the dealer can do for you.

The hardware is the hardware that cannot be changed by a software update. Few people are skilled enough to swap out any hardware for more up to date versions becasue of all of the coding issues.

I hope you are right.
Our dealer should be able to theoretically update any software needed.
Unless they have some limitations on online access to SW modules on car models that are not imported regularly.

I did speak to the brand manager here.
He’s a terrific guy but said he couldn’t give me any information regarding car models that are not sold in Israel.

However, I do have a friendly dealer-approved shop, that is on franchise from the importer. So if it is possible technically, I should be able to get it.

One thing is for sure - it won’t be easy :-)
