I appreciate i am the new kid here, but thought i would share with you as some may just "get it"

I have owned this for many years and its a low miles car (45k) but had a few owners over the years.
I put it into storage back in 2018 and left it until early 2020 before being called to "pop over and take a look" when i asked my garage to prepare it for use in 2020.
Sills were showing signs of rot, a couple of small holes appearing, bubbling on arches - all usual stuff for a Mk1 focus.
However it was also at the point where if i was going to sort it - now if the time.

I spoke with a couple of local body resto places and after several suggestions i opted for Dutton Paint just outside Preston brook near Frodsham to take it on.
They made all the right noises and agreed if we are going to do it then it must be done properly and as such quoting is hard until you get in there and see how far the rot goes.

We were lucky, another year may have been significantly more work and double the cost.
All sills were hand made from proper steel - same for arches and wing lowers, no cheapo repair tin panels here.
anyway in short - at huge expense later the car is now utterly rot free and its safe to say rot wont be killing this car.
The car benefited from a full respray apart from the roof.

I enjoyed using it a bit for the later part of 2020 and this year but next week it goes into storage again for winter.

Not exactly quick, but nippy and very light and great fun to drive - but at my age the ride quality and damping gets tiresome.

I present my Focus RS #4400

Looks a tidy car.

I have owned a few RS cars over the years and loved all of them.My favourite has to be the Escort Cosworth I owned in 1997,if only I had the space and funds to garage it I would be sitting on a small fortune now.
