Plenty of other intakes on the market at various price points, materials, aesthetic, performance etc Personally, I really like this one as it works VERY well and looks outstanding Mange

golf7.5r
I can't argue with the aesthetics as it does look superb in carbon, but I'm not 100% convinced that the intake alone makes much power (does the mk8 have the same issue with the blocked off duct as the mk7?). I've recently fitted those air guides to my mk7r and recorded an increase in airflow of around 3% which doesn't sound much but it has made a noticeable difference. I've yet to get it on the dyno, but I am expecting a small increase in peak hp (10+hp) and a larger increase in torque (especially low down as this is where I noticed it the most). @Ash-Regal-Autosport Maybe you could do a back to back test with these on your mk7.5r? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153791516666 I also noticed that VW seem to have removed the turbo inlet restriction on the mk8, which produced some nice gains when using a larger TIP on the mk7. We no longer have a MK7, we only have a MK8. I probably wouldn't spend my own money on a part like you have linked and expect a 10HP gain as on the MK7 there are other big restrictions in the intake than more fresh air. Let's keep this topic about the MK8R though, happy for you to start a separate thread about this in the MK7 section and we can discuss

Thats about the same price as the combined APR HO Stage 1 and TCU map combined on the older platform! At least the Racingline item is more reasonable for many but apart from fancy Carbon I doubt you’ll have much uptake on the Eventuri item at that price. It’s not going to out perform other brands by huge amounts other than aesthetics. 8YARWY
