Has anyone fitted one to a mk7 golf r estate

stock system just wanting aliitle more noise without droning

I’ve fitted one to mine, it’s a 7.5 estate but will be similar to yours. 
 

I'm pleased with the extra noise although I still think it needs looking at, as something sounds like it’s possibly touching and vibrating at certain revs. Just need time to get it up in the air.

your car has valves so should not resonate

the trouble with the mk7 it’s got no valves so can get unwanted noise

I have the LSG version on my stg2 estate.

 

I turned the sound actuator thing down to 35% & it sounds inside just like it did with the standard res box when driving normally.

 

Obviously race/sport mode is a little louder as it is normally & the crackles/pops are slightly noticeable.

But give it some beans & it makes 👌 sounds

Yes; had one on my mk7 R Wagon.. had it on for about a year, and decided to return to OEM.

I do miss the pops on the upshifts and the crackles on downshifts in race mode. But it was a bit too intrusive during every day driving.
