markiii
I appreciate this is nothing new, but just wanted to say oh god what an improvement. followed the link below to unplugging it https://www.autoevolution.com/news/what-the-vw-golf-r-gti-soundaktor-is-and-how-to-disable-it-104944.html I can now hear the exhaust and its pops and crackles much more and that horrible bass drone has gone. Also seems to have made the car quieter on a run, which suggests the soundakator was doing something even at partial throttle. Can't stand artificial noise generators. fastandy
Ha. Don't love the artificial noise but probably would of left it active if it wasn't for all the rattles it creates in my car Call it the rattleaktor!!!

I had the thing coded out - volume now set to zero. Awful stupid noise. Car still bores me, but at least it’s a bit more real now!
