If you aren't getting anything you like it is quite appropriate that you leave, so 'Bye Bye.

When i first joined this forum i thought i had signed up to Mumsnet by mistake😂 all this talk of cleaning products etc.

However i have found friendly helpful people and although a small forum it serves it's purpose and don't forget it takes a lot of time for those running it.

I accept it probably has moved more to the Mk 8 but that is the nature of the beast.

It has in it's own way saved me a fortune and my sanity as i couldn't buy a Mk8 with all it's gremlins but also it has given me hope that if VW solve these problems there is no doubt it will be my next car.

However it has also helped me understand my Mk 7.5 better and to know what problems are real or not and solutions for them.

Mark

It’s not that bad, and you forgot the newbies posting their first post saying they had ordered a mk8, followed by their second post 2 years later saying it had arrived 😜

Still some decent threads and I like the other car posts

Why do people do that…? Just go 😂

I’ve not had an R for 2 years but still hang around to see what’s going on - loved my R for 6 years and you never know when that little bit of insider info from the forum will help me get back into another!!

the wife’s 1er is still hanging around but won’t last forever so may be the chance to get her a golf 🤔😜

also, can’t stand Facebook groups - save the forums!!!

I’m sorry to hear you’re not enjoying the forum anymore Steven.  Forums ebb and flow always.  Participation helps.  We could hire some clowns and jugglers to entertain you but we’ll have to have a whip round first. 🙃

This is a large forum comprising diverse personalities.  Most contributors seem friendly and have interesting things to contribute, which is why I enjoy sticking around.  I don't expect all topics to hold my interest or all participants to share my views.  Steven evidently has reached the point that his time is better spent elsewhere, so he's right to move on.   That he chose to notify us suggests the tie isn't completely broken.  Otherwise, he wouldn't have bothered.  Maybe one day he'll change his mind, in which case I hope the forum welcomes his return.
