GaryP
Hi Just wondering what the consensus is on Gap Insurance. Just picked up a new to me 2020 R Wagon, and as the cost was over £25k I think I ought to protect myself against a shortfall in any Insurance Payout should I have a total loss claim. ALA seems pretty dam cheap with the MSE25 discount code, so will probably go with them. Question is, do I go with a Return to Invoice policy or a Replacement Vehicle policy (which is slightly more expensive)? I would have thought that return to invoice policy would have been more expensive as the older the car gets the bigger the gap between insurance valuation and original invoice price will be. I'd very much appreciate some help on this, thanks. GaryP
MJC1216
I went with ALA and went with the return to invoice.
Booth11
On my last few cars (including current 8R) I’ve always gone for ALA full Vehicle Replacement, mainly because of buying outright through a broker whereby there’s a sizeable discount so the pre discount value of the car is quite a bit higher than the discounted invoice price paid and to get an equivalent replacement car would be more than the invoice price paid. GaryP
Went ALA on Back To Invoice for 3 years with discount code MSE25. Cost £179 to cover the invoice price of my 2020 R Wagon. Nice bit of piece of mind. Need to get some of those Faraday Pouches/Box to put keys in overnight. Not aware of much R theft over here but would rather feel safer than sorry'er. Way cheaper than the circa £470 or so that the VW Dealership were trying to sell. Thanks for the help above!
DAN@ADRIAN FLUX
Hi. Just to let you know that we offer a 12 month product called Total Loss Protection. Whilst it's not exactly the same as your traditional GAP insurance we feel for some customers it can make a cost effective alternative. Please feel free to take a look if you wish. https://www.adrianflux.co.uk/extras/total-loss/ Regards, Dan.

I tend to overlook you these days as the last time I got a Comprehensive Insurance quote you were miles above the common household names, so have stuck with them over the last 5 years.
