Leasing doesn't really count tho as it's not your car it's just long term rented , my 14 year old could afford to lease a golf r , hardly an achievement
That is some achievement, a 14 year old in full time employment.
It's as much your car as buying using any other finance model except cash outright. It's never your car until it's paid for in full. And let's be honest who wants to invest a lump sum in something which depreciates.
Wealthy grand parents = lots of pocket money , could afford to lease a new golf R at 14
If you think a leased golf R is something of an achievement then .... ; think most people on benefits could afford it in this crazy country
Saying that , I can 100% see why you would lease at these crazy prices , almost silly to buy outright
So what you mean is your 14 year old's grandparents can afford to lease one? There is a difference between a 14 year old earning their own money and being given it!
I've always been taught to earn money even though my family are fairly well off. Spoiling children to the point of ridiculousness just turns them into disrespectful little shites in my experience.
I didn't say a leased golf r is an achievement. Neither is buying a £1 million house with a mortgage, it's only an achievement once it's yours.
Buying any car outright is silly, if it appreciates buy it, if it depreciates lease it!
